China为名词，指“中国”之义，如：Peoples Bank of China中国人民银行。其小写china指“瓷器”。有关China的来源说法不一，有说源于波斯语中表示瓷器的词“chini”，亦有说源于梵语中“cinah”一词，或者源于汉语里的“Qin（秦）”字。
