Chang’e-6 Returns with Lunar Samples

On June 25, the return capsule of the Chang’e-6 probe successfully returned to Earthwith approximately 1.9 kilograms of lunar samples, achieving the world’s first samplecollection from the far side of the moon. The first lunar samples from the far side ofthe moon will enhance human understanding of the moon’s evolutionh8OArQJHxTaPco714MNX+6/0pgxQHeTwqt4f7t23wKA= and acceleratehumanity’s drive to explore and utilize lunar resources, making it an important treasurefor all mankind.

The Chang’e-6 probe was launched into orbit on May 3 and landed on the edge ofthe South Pole-Aitken Basin on the far side of the moon on June 2. It carried out samplecollection and scientific exploration tasks. Chang’e-6 not only represented China’stechnological breakthroughs in the field of space exploration, but also marked historicprogress in human unity and peaceful utilization of outer space as a result of the jointefforts of many countries.
