Kierman was born in Sydney, Australia, and grew up near the sea. For more than 40 years, he raced in international sailing competitions.

In 1987, Kierman was competing in an around-the-world race when he began to ___6___ the huge amount of rubbish in the world’s oceans. When he returned to Australia, he ___7___ to do something about it.

For most children, the most useful way of spending their time is playing a game. It doesn’t matter what the game is. Things become better when they need a partner to play with. Ever since I was little, my favorite season was winter. I loved to play in the snow and enjoyed the hot chocolate. ___6___, winter never gave me the special gift of snow on my birthday. Throughout her life, Mckenna Reitz was known for her long, thick brown hair. The 33-year-old mom’s hair ___6___ falling out after the birth of her second daughter.
