Hello, everyone. I’m a student from Singapore. My hobby is traditional Chinese music. When I was seven, I began to have erhu lessons. Then, I formed a music group with my friends. And we’ve been in the group for four years. Every year, we play at our school art festival. We even won the school talent show two years ago. And we’ve already written ten songs of our own. Half of them were written by me. My biggest dream is to hold my own concert in Hong Kong. To achieve it, I’ve decided to learn music in China. So my parents will send me to Shanghai next year. I’ll be there for two years. I plan to find a part-time job while studying there. I hope my dream will come true one day.

Welcome to Seattle Houseboat Tours. Before we go on board, I’d like to give you a little background information. Seattle has one of the largest numbers of houseboats in the US. During our one-hour tour, you’ll see a number of houseboats. People can pay millions of dollars for the biggest of these. Some of them are amazing and have two or three floors. My own is one of the smallest boats, but I still have plenty of room. My living area includes one bedroom with a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room. I also have electricity, running water and network, so I really do have everything I need. You may be interested to know that I’m writing a book on the history of houseboats in the city, and this should be on sale from early July. Well, thank you for listening so far. Now let’s move into the boat and start the tour.
