A British woman who won a $1 million prize after she was named the World’s Best Teacher will use the cash to bring inspirational figures into UK schools.
Andria, a north London secondary school teacher, said she wanted to bring about a classroom revolution (变革). “We are going to make a change,” she said. “I’ve started a project to improve the teaching of the arts in our schools.”
The project results from the difficulties many schools have in getting artists of any sort—whether an up-and-coming (有前途的) local musician or a major movie star—into schools to work with and inspire children. Andria has worked on the project at Alperton Community School, her place of work for the past twelve years. “I’ve seen those magic moments when children are talking to someone they are inspired by—their eyes are shining and their faces light up,” she said. “We need artists more than ever in our schools.”
Artist Michael said, “Andria’s brilliant project to bring artists from all fields into direct contact with children is particularly welcome at a time when the arts are being downgraded(低估) in schools.” “It was a mistake to see the arts as unnecessary,” he added.

Have you found that it’s hard to take your eyes off your phone? Do you feel left-out not being invited to a party? Do you think that others are having more fun, and living better lives than you? If the answer to any of these questions is “yes”, you may be suffering from the Fear of Missing Out, or “FOMO”. But, don’t worry, FOMO influences many people in the modern world. You are not alone.

Slowly but surely, Amy and her grandparents were making progress. Boxes of all sizes were placed on top of each other throughout the house. Amy’s grandparents had lived in the house for years and they had collected many things. The dining room was full of memories. Amy’s grandfather kept many fine dinner plates from his hometown.
After carefully wrapping up (包裹) the plates and putting them into a box, Amy lifted it up and moved it out of the way. But the box was too heavy. It suddenly fell from her arms and dropped to the floor. All three of them heard the plates shatter.
“I’m sorry!” Amy apologized.
“It’s okay,” her grandfather said quietly. “It was an accident.”
They opened the box and, sure enough, many of the plates were broken. Only a few remained whole. Looking at the small pieces, Amy felt really terrible. She knew these plates were passed down from her great grandparents and…
“Don’t worry,” her grandmother said, patting her on the back. Carefully, they put the broken pieces into a rubbish bag.
They continued packing for a little while, but Amy still felt very sorry. She was trying very hard to think of a way to make it up for her grandparents.
Soon, Amy’s father came.
“I have to go,” she said. “Dad is here to pick me up.”
She kissed her grandparents both, picked up the bag of the broken pieces and left.
The following day, Amy went to an art store and bought everything she needed. Then she started to work. She used a thin board as the base. Then she took out the colorful plate pieces and glued them in a creative way on the board. When it was dry, Amy wrapped it up.

What would you do if you see an old man lying on the side of the road? If you know first aid (急救) and have received first aid training, you can provide him with help before professional help arrives.
Experts say the first 10 minutes after an accident is important for saving a life. Just as its name suggests, first aid is the first steps before a person gets professional medical help. It includes making the person stay safe, and helping him or her feel better and stay calm. It also includes getting help, either by telling an adult or calling 120.
First aid is an important life skill that everyone should learn. By learning it, you may save someone’s life someday. But in China, less than 1 percent of adults have first aid knowledge. The Ministry of Education (MOE) has realized this. Last August, it asked all public schools in China to provide first aid courses as part of their health classes.
A research showed that 64.6 percent of schools already have these courses. However, the results have not been good. According to the MOE, future results are expected to be better.
Other countries have also made a big effort to provide first aid training to their people. US government said police officers, firefighters, middle school teachers and college teachers must receive CPR training. In Switzerland, all people learn first aid skills. And in Germany, 80 percent of people have received first aid training.

Vicuna is a small town in the north of Chile. It is a great place for watching the stars. Although it is near the sea, the cold, wet air from the coast does not bring clouds. Instead, dry winds from the desert keep the clouds away at night. In fact, the skies are so clear in Vicuna. So it is possible for people to see many stars. They can be seen only with special instruments in other parts of the world.
In Vicuna, star systems far away can be seen without an instrument. This is why people choose the town as the home of sky observatories (天文台). One of them, the Mamalluca, is quite different from those only used by scientists. It is for tourists who like to look at the stars. Around the whole year, hotels in the town accommodate thousands of tourists from all over the world to see the night sky. The tourists live in the hotel and spend a lot of money there. The cloudless sky is a moneymaker for the town. So the town plans to set up even more observatories in another few years.
However, the town faced a serious problem. As the town grew, more streetlights were added. The streetlights made it more and more difficult to see the stars at night clearly. One pleasant evening, I was holding Grandpa’s hand and taking a walk in the park. “Where are the peanuts (花生)? Give me now!” he suddenly said. How I wished I had some with me! “William, the monkeys are taking long to come out today. Wait till they smell the peanuts.” I knew he was lost in one of his memories again. I remembered the stories he told me of how he fed the monkeys when he was a kid. Then, he saw the goldfish! He acted as if he was seeing them for the first time.
Poor grandpa! He fell ill with Alzheimer’s disease last year. The doctor said it was a progressive brain disorder which could harm a person’s memory. The patient might also not be able to make reasonable judgments (判断). The saddening part was that it was a lifelong disease. But when my parents invited him to stay with us, he refused and said he liked living alone. One day, he forgot to turn off the fire after cooking porridge. Luckily, one of the neighbors came to help him before the fire could spread.
It was then that my parents brought Grandpa to live with us. Often, he would forget my name and ask me who I was and what I was doing in his house. Each time I would answer softly, “It’s me, Ray, Grandpa!” Even if he had forgotten who I was, he would always be my beloved grandfather.

There was a young woman. She took great pride in growing flowers in her yard. She had been raised by her grandmother, who had taught her to love and care for flowers. So her yard was the most beautiful one in her village.
One day, while looking through a flower list that she often ordered from, a picture of a plant immediately caught her eye. She had never seen a flower like it before. “I have to have it,” she said to herself, and she immediately ordered it. When it arrived, she found a place to plant it. She planted it at the bottom of a stone wall at the back of her yard. It grew vigorously, with beautiful green leaves all over it. Day after day, she continued to take care of it, but there were no flowers.
One morning, as she stood looking at the plant, she felt disappointed. She wanted to know why her plant had not bloomed.
However, at this moment, her disabled neighbor invited her to his yard and said, “Thank you so much! Nowadays, many children spend hours a day looking at computer screens or other digital (数字的) products. Some eye care doctors say all the screen time has caused more children to have what they call computer vision syndrome (视力综合征).
Nathan Warford is an optometrist in the US. He says he has seen more children having eye problems. “More children come into my office because their parents have noticed that they have headaches or red eyes, or because their degree of short-sightedness appears to be increasing very fast and they’re worried,” he says.
Dr Warford says part of the problem is that even if their eyes start to feel uncomfortable or they start to get a headache, some children don’t tell their parents because they don’t want their games or the computer taken away. Another part of the problem is that people blink (眨眼睛) less often when they look at the screen. A person who uses a computer or a digital product blinks about a third as much as we normally do in everyday life. If eyes can’t stay wet or are too tired, they will not be protected normally.

Chinese New Year Painting, or nianhua in Chinese, is a kind of traditional painting to be put up on walls and windows during the Spring Festival. Its bright colors and different subjects show the Chinese great expectation for happiness and wealth.
Chinese New Year Painting is an old handicraft. Its original (最初的) form was a picture of a door god during the Tang Dynasty. Later, more subjects such as the Kitchen God, women and babies were included. As the Chinese New Year arrives, every family puts up its New Year Painting in order to say goodbye to the past and welcome the future. The most famous woodblock (木板) New Year Painting comes from Yangjiabu of Shandong Province. It covers all kinds of themes and forms. It reflects people’s everyday life.
As time went by, people found New Year Painting old-fashioned. Besides, they considered the door god too scary to hang in their homes. They wanted something more artistic. So in the middle of the 1980s, the sales of New Year Painting dropped greatly.
Usually, colorful woodblock New Year Painting is produced in four steps. Firstly, artists draw a simple sketch (素描) on the paper. Secondly, they make the simple sketch on the wood board and print a few samples (样品). Thirdly, they add color to the sample. Lastly, when the preparation is finished, the printers paint color on the color board, and then put paper on the wood board and brush the paper. Then the colorful woodblock New Year Painting is ready.

I’m Alice. One day last month, my friend Mary came to school wearing a new pair of Zee jeans. “Your new Zee jeans are so cute!” I said.
“I went shopping with my grandma last weekend,” Mary said. “The Zee jeans were on sale. They have cool pockets and are unbelievably comfortable. When you’re at my house after school, try them on and see for yourself.”
“Hmm.” I didn’t think so. But when I tried them on, I couldn’t help agreeing. As soon as I got home, I told my mom that I wanted to buy a pair of Zee jeans.
Mom said, “Alice, you already have three pairs of good jeans. There is no way Dad and I are paying that much for another pair of jeans. If you want to buy them with your own money, I would be happy to make a long list of chores you can do.”
“I’ll start this minute,” I said.
It took me three weeks to save enough money. I took out the rubbish, took care of my little brother, and cleaned our washroom. The washroom cleaning was the worst. It took me one and a half hours to clean it up!
Anyway, I finally bought my Zee jeans, and I loved them even more than I thought. I loved them half because they had cool pockets and were super comfortable, and half because I have worked so hard to make the money to buy them myself.

The color green is more than just a color. It is known as a symbol of health, youth and life. Around the world green is also now known as a symbol for the environment and the protection of the environment.
People are now living in a “throw-away society”, using things for a short time and then throwing them away. What are the causes of this? Firstly, there are too many goods to choose from. For example, if you are bored with your shoes which are worn for a few months, you will choose to exchange them for a new pair from the market and throw away the old ones. Secondly, many young people want to keep up with technology innovation. For example, many young people buy new mobile phones and throw away their old ones. As a result, it leads to an increase in the number of rubbish.
Recycling has never been easier. Tell your mom or dad you want to become “Chief of Recycling” for your family—you know what things you can recycle, and find a place to keep them. Encourage everyone in your house to think whether things can be reused or recycled before they’re thrown away.
Who knew being green would taste so good? Take a look at your own backyard. Is there a place where you could plant a tree or put in a little fruit or vegetable garden? If so, get there and get your hands dirty. Then you can watch with pride as your tree takes root, and your garden plants grow into big plants full of red tomatoes or tiny, juicy strawberries.

Computers are wonderful machines. The Internet is also wonderful. But some people spend too much time online. They can’t stop. Doctors say this is a new illness called Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD) (互联网成瘾症).
People with IAD are online a lot. They spend many hours chatting with their friends or playing games online. Many people with IAD spend more time surfing the Internet than staying with their family or friends. Some people with IAD even give up their jobs!
Do you have IAD? Think about the following questions carefully: How many hours a day are you online? When you are not online, do you want to play computer games or check your messages? When you are online, do you often lose track of time? Do you get angry when you can’t play computer games?
If you have IAD, what should you do? Dr Ivan Goldberg and Dr Kimberly S. Young give some advice. First, ask yourself, “Why am I online a lot?” Then try to take a break. For example, use the computer or play computer games twice a week, not every day. In this way, you can spend more time with your family or friends.

Remya Jose, who lived in a small village in India, learned that her mother was ill and her father would have to spend his time caring for her. As a result, she and her twin sister had to do most of the housework—including washing clothes. To make things even more difficult, the Jose family couldn’t afford an electric washing machine. Instead, the two girls would have to do the washing all by hand in the local river, and then carefully carry everything back to their home—a task that took several hours.
Being a good student interested in engineering, Remya wanted to make a washing machine which could be used without electricity. She started studying electric washers to learn how they worked. Remya then designed a machine that used bicycle pedals (踏板) and chain. To find those things, she and her father went to a local shop. Workers there not only gave her the parts, but also helped her make the machine!
Here’s how the machine works: Remya used a cylinder (圆筒) to hold the clothes and put it in a cube (立方体). Next, she connected the bicycle pedals and the chain to the cylinder. As Remya pushed the pedals with her legs, the cylinder cleaned the clothes just like a regular washing machine.
Remya’s invention worked! She had created her own human-powered washing machine—and now a task that used to take several hours took only 30 minutes. Remya’s washing machine was chosen as India’s best innovation!
“Remya Jose made a difference,” said Jeanine Thomas of The Borden Project. “Her invention saves time and money for the world’s poor.”

Birth order—does it matter? Are you different because you are the first, second, or third child in your family—or maybe the last of nine?
A study found that first-borns have an average IQ that is three points higher than people who fall into a different place in the birth order, perhaps because first-borns often help younger brothers and sisters, which improves their own skills. In 2007, an international organization of CEOs found that 43% of CEOs are first-borns, 33% are middle children, and 23% are last-borns. First-borns are more likely to be doctors and astronauts and get higher pay.
If first-borns are more successful, last-borns are generally more agreeable. They are also more likely to be funny, possibly to get attention from all the bigger people at the dinner table. Mark Twain and Stephen Colbert were both the youngest in large families, and Jim Carrey was the youngest of four. According to a 2007 Time magazine article, The Power of Birth Order, last-borns are more likely to be artists and successful businessmen.
Then there are the middle children: we have not ignored (忽视) them! Many middle children are short of one-on-one time with their parents. They often feel short-changed: the oldest gets more rights, and the youngest is spoiled (被宠坏的). Though they may be ignored, middle children are more likely to grow into easy-going adults.
Many factors (因素) make us who we are, but if the research is correct, birth order may be one of the most important factors.

Artificial intelligence, or AI in short, is the science of giving computers and machines ability to think and work like humans. AI scientists and engineers have made a lot of cool technologies. AI is rapidly catching up with the human ability to read faces. As a result, facial recognition (人脸识别) is used a lot in the world. Chinese police use this technology to check people’s information.
AI is also used in self-driving cars, which are believed to be the future of driving. Most drivers may wave or nod at passers-by to let them cross the street, but self-driving cars don’t have this ability. Car makers are testing a light signal system to help them “speak” to humans. The system can show what self-driving cars will do.
Service robots also show you how powerful AI is. Imagine this—you come back home from school and your robot housekeeper is waiting for you at the door. After dinner, he teaches you to play the piano, just like a real music teacher. Such thoughts will soon happen in the real world. In the future, more and more service robots will become good home helpers.
AI is so powerful that it can help human beings and even take the place of us in many jobs.

Fourteen-year-old Miguel Diaz talks about an exciting science project:
Last month I got the chance to take part in an underwater research project in an area of the Gulf of Mexico called the Flower Gardens. A team of professional researchers, led by scientist Dr Matt Phillips, was trying to learn more about the fish and different kinds of creatures that live in this part of the sea. The Flower Gardens are a long way from the shore and we spent three days on a boat.
The team used a piece of underwater equipment called a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to collect information. The ROV could measure (测量) water depth and temperature and it also had a camera that sent live film back to operate it a few times.
However, the thing I enjoyed most was diving (潜水) into the water. At first, I was quite scared—mainly because I couldn’t see land in any direction. But as soon as I jumped into the water, I wasn’t afraid anymore. It was amazing to see the colorful fish swimming around and I could see all the ways to the Flower Gardens, which are almost 30 meters down.
I will never forget the Flower Gardens. The trip was like a holiday but I also learnt new things about science and research projects. It was a great opportunity and it has made me think about my goals in life. The experience will help me work harder to become a scientist.

More and more people in China are now showing parts of their lives to the world by videos on their phones. Some people send videos of personal events like holidays and weddings.
Using live streaming (网络直播) is particularly popular among the people aged from 18 to 35. Even the teachers give lessons by live streaming. Besides leaving reviews on the screen, they can also communicate directly with the hosts by buying virtual (虚拟的) gifts such as flowers, toys and cars for them online. One of the most famous examples was the Olympic swimmer Fu Yuanhui. She did one-hour live streaming which attracted more than 11 million viewers.
What’s more, live streaming lets users communicate with strangers and express themselves. A 19-year-old college student called Nic Li says she spends three to four hours each week chatting and singing with viewers through one app called Ingkee. “Sometimes I feel lonely and want to talk to people,” she says. “I feel nice when viewers are paying attention to me.”
However, there are worries about the misuse of live streaming. An influencer promised to correct her unsuitable and impolite language after she was warned by the officials. As there are more than 80 apps and 300 websites for live streaming in China, the Internet regulator (监管机构) can hardly monitor the contents (内容) all the time.

Are you still reading paper books? Nowadays more and more people prefer to read novels online. This new way of reading is convenient. For example, when people take a subway or wait for the bus, they just need to read on their mobile phones instead of opening books. And it also costs little, as many of the online novels are free to readers.
Some online novels have attractive plots (情节) and they have made their writers famous and rich, such as Liu Lianzi and Gu Man. These writers have many fans on the Internet and many of their works have been made into films and TV plays, such as Empresses in the Palace and My Sunshine.
However, not all the online novels are good to read, especially for teenagers who are less able to tell the right from the wrong than adults. Melody, a woman from Shenzhen, said, “Parents and teachers should pay more attention to what teenagers read online. In fact, some online novels were written so hurriedly and randomly that they are full of improper plots which may be pernicious to teenagers, so I don’t think it’s good for my students to read online novels.”

The holidays came and went. On a sunny January morning two weeks later, Ben was rushing to deliver milk when he saw a woman running down the street, waving money. He recognized her immediately—the woman who didn’t pay her bill.
“I’m so sorry,” she said. “I really have been meaning to pay you.”
She explained that her husband had come home one night and announced he’d found a cheaper apartment. He’d also got a new job. With all that happened, she’d forgotten to leave the new address. “But I’ve been saving,” she said. “Here’s the money toward the bill.”

I am Turere. I come from a farming community of Kenya’s Park. In my free time, I enjoyed playing with electronics. I made my own inventions, such as electronic toys from car parts and other things.
At the age of 13, I invented something that changed my life and the lives of many people in my community. One night, a lion came into my family’s farm and killed one of our cows. I was angry. However, killing the lion, was not the best way to solve the problem. Instead, I decided to invent a solution.
The first idea I got was to use fire, because I thought lions were scared of fire. But I came to realize that didn’t really help, because it was even helping the lions to see through the cowshed (牛棚). So I gave up the idea.
And a second idea I got was to use a scarecrow (稻草人). I was trying to trick the lions into thinking that I was standing near the cowshed. But lions are very clever. They came and saw the scarecrow, but they didn’t go back. One night, I was walking around the cowshed with a torch (手电筒), and that day the lions didn’t come. Would you like to live in a city where buildings turn the lights off for you, and self-driving cars will find the nearest parking space themselves? Although it might sound a little far from you, living in a “smart” city like this could happen sooner than you think.
Great changes have taken place in towns that we have lived in for centuries, while completely new cities are being built. One such place is the city of Songdo. Every home there will have a telepresence system (远程遥控系统) allowing users to control the heating and locks, take part in video meetings, and receive education, health care and government services. Around the city, escalators will only move when someone is on them, and offices and schools will all be connected to the system.
The great mind behind Songdo is from the company Cisco. In fact, technology companies around the world such as IBM, Siemens and Microsoft are already in the business.
About 75% of the world’s population will live in cities by 2050, so cities will need to be more modern to deal with the coming problems. “Making cities smarter is one way out, and I think this will in turn make cities greener,” said Dan Hill, head of a research company.

One day, the employees (员工) of a company returned from their lunch break and were greeted with a sign on the front door. The sign said, “Yesterday, the person who had stood in your way to success passed away. We invite you to attend the funeral in the hall.” At first, everyone was sad to hear that one of their workmates had died, but after a while, they started feeling curious about who this person might be. The excitement grew as they arrived at the hall to pay their last respects. Everyone wondered, “Who is this person who was in my way? Well, at least he’s no longer here!”
One by one, the employees got closer to the coffin (棺材). When they looked inside it, they were speechless. They stood by the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul (灵魂).
There was a mirror inside the coffin. Everyone who looked inside it could see himself or herself. There was also a sign next to the mirror that said, “There is only one person who can stop you from succeeding: it is YOURSELF.”
You are the only person who can change your life. You are the only person who can influence your happiness and your success. You are the only person who can help yourself.

A live-streaming app that monitors students in classrooms in some middle schools has raised a lot of online discussion. It was reported that any user of the app Shuidi could see inside classrooms. Some parents have praised the app for giving them the chance to monitor their children, while others worry about privacy problems. Do you think the app is a good idea?
Zhang Xiaoru:
I strongly support this app. Nowadays, children play an important role in the whole family, and parents always want to care for their children, wherever they are. This app helps parents see what their children are doing in class. It’s also a good way to make students behave themselves in school.
Du Yina:
I’m a supporter of this app if parents get their children’s permission first. The app could help parents focus on children’s bad habits. It could also be used as a tool to prevent bullying (霸凌). However, parents should get their permission first to protect their privacy.
Zhao Xuehan:
I think this app is a bad idea. Schools should be a pleasant and relaxing place for students to study and play. But we will feel uncomfortable if cameras are watching us all the time. We should pay attention to our privacy. Our lives shouldn’t be watched by the public.
Zhang Liliang:
Any form of privacy invasion (侵犯) shouldn’t be allowed. Although some parents want to know more about their children, they should do it in a better way. Being under the eye of strangers is too dangerous.

You have probably heard of Tomato Throwing and the Polar Bear Swim, but have you ever heard of the sport of Cheese Rolling?
Cheese rolling is an event that takes place every spring at Cooper’s Hill, Gloucestershire (a county in England, west of London). People say that cheese rolling is one of Great Britain’s oldest customs. Some say the custom started even before the Romans lived in that country 2,000 years ago. Most say cheese rolling has been going on for at least a couple of centuries as a celebration of the beginning of summer.
Each year, thousands of spectators come to Cooper’s Hill to watch people chase a three-kilogram round Double Gloucester Cheese down the hillside. There are separate races for men and women, and uphill races for boys and girls too. The winners get to keep the rounds of cheese they have tried so hard to catch. However, no one ever catches the cheese because it runs fast down the slope (斜坡) at nearly 110 kilometers per hour!
It is funny to imagine people chasing a little wheel of cheese as it rolls down a hill, but maybe it is not so funny to see it because Cooper’s Hill is very steep (陡峭的). Every year, several of the cheese chasers tumble down the hill. Often, people have their bones broken, but this has not stopped the event from taking place.

At the end of the third term, we had a celebration at our school in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. We played a game of dodgeball (躲避球).
Dodgeball is a game played by two teams of people. Both teams try to hit each other with dodgeballs. The team that the most players are left on the court wins.
I was on the red team. Our competitor, the green team, had many experienced players. So it was not a good start for us at first. We lost many important teammates, while only a few of their unimportant players were knocked out. I got knocked out early as well.
Surprisingly, the rest of teammates tried to knock out a number of our competitors, leaving the green team with fewer numbers.
In our dodgeball game, we didn’t need to completely knock out the other team. All we needed was just to have our last members try their best to avoid being hit during the last five minutes! I shouted, “Guys! Just keep an eye on them and dodge! We have more people on the court! Time is on our side!” The plan worked: All of our members saved, winning the match when the last whistle (哨声) blew.
Dodgeball, while being a seriously fun and competitive sport, also requires critical thinking (批判性思维). If I learned anything from that game, it was that my brain can get me out of a lot of difficult situations.

From chicken feet socks to sad frog toys, “ugly” products have become popular among young people. On the social media platform Douban, there is a group called the Society for the Protection of Ugly Things with more than 200,000 members. They post “ugly things” they see and buy in daily life.
Some museums have also followed the trend and produced many “ugly” but interesting cultural and creative products. For example, on June 14, 2022, the Gansu Provincial Museum brought out a toy. It’s based on the famous bronze sculpture (青钢雕塑), known as Galloping Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow (马踏飞燕). The toy recreates the sculpture in a cute and cartoon style. This makes the toy more fashionable and more fun.
In fact, some of the “ugly” products can be useful. Yin Peixin, 11, from Hubei has a cabbage dog toy. Unlike others, she doesn’t find it ugly. “It’s creative by mixing cabbage with a dog. The toy makes me feel better when I’m upset. It also serves as a mini pillow to help me have a good sleep,” said Yin.
According to Zhang Lei, a professor at Zhejiang University of Technology, the rise in the popularity of ugly things means that young people want to show that they’re different. They hope to get pleasure and a new taste of life from something a little more “ugly”.

Social media is certainly an interesting place to learn about others’ opinions. You can read everything from strange ideas to true facts and everything in between. But when you are spending time online and reading so many opinions, it’s quite possible that you will sometimes see someone write something that you strongly disagree with.
In fact, you might feel so strongly that you feel like you should reply to this person at once. You might do some research, find some facts of your own and reply to what they’ve written. You finish writing out your reply, click “Post” and win the argument! Except that it’s not really much of a triumph.
Most people don’t like it when other people disagree with their ideas, especially online strangers. It’s unlikely that they will change their opinion just because you argued with them. In fact, it’s possible that you made them feel more confident that they are correct.
And the thing is, when you get in these kinds of fights online, it slowly influences you. You might not know it at first, but the argument that you take part in can actually have a bad effect on your mood. If you argue often, you start to enjoy arguing and then end up doing it even more. It’s a dangerous cycle.
I guess the best thing to do is to tell yourself that most arguments aren’t worth it. There are much better and more interesting things to do, whether online or in real life.

A. Skill.""" """""""""""""""" B. Doubt.""" """""""""""""" C. Win.""" """"""""""""""""" D. Advice.
