An amazing festival experience

This was my first time spending the Lantern Festival with friends， which was anunforgettable experience for me. The Lantern Festival falls on the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar year. The custom of joyfully celebrating the Lantern Festival began asearly as the Western Han Dynasty， and still has a great influence on Chinese people today.

During the festival， there were lanterns of various shapes and sizes hanging through?out the streets， attracting countless visitors. Lantern shows were also organized， which cre?ated a festive atmosphere. What impressed me most was guessing riddles， as riddle guess?ing was interesting and full of wisdom. Many of the lanterns had riddles written on themand we couldn＇t wait to go to the owners to check our answers. At last， we received a littlegift， extremely excited.

We also ate tangyuan， which tasted sweet and delicious. Tangyuan in Chinese has asimilar pronunciation to tuanyuan and the round shape represents reunion， harmony andhappiness. Besides， we watched Dragon Dance.

With my friends， I spent an exciting and meaningful Lantern Festival. And I＇mlooking forward to the next festival.
