Raksha： Mowgli， go back to the den！

Male wolf： A man-cub belongs with man.

Bagheera： Akela， maybe I can be of help. The boys right. Maybe its time he found another people.

Raksha： No.

Bagheera： Im the one who brought him to you. And now Ill return him to where he belongs.

Raksha： I wont let you. Hes my cub！

Akela： We knew this day would come.

Raksha： We are the only family hes ever known.

Akela： Raksha， its the only place hell be safe.

Mowgli： Its OK ami， I wont go far. Ill come back and visit.

Raksha： Never forget this. Youre mine. Mine to me. No matter where you go， or what they may call you. You will always be my son.

Baloo： Whatd I tell you？ Hes special.

Bagheera： I know hes special. I raised him.

Baloo： Then dont make him leave， Bagheera. You gotta let him be what he is.

Bagheera： You dont understand. The boys in danger.

Baloo： I know. He told me. Hes being hunted by a tiger.

Bagheera： Not any tiger. Shere Khan.

Baloo： Shere Khans hunting him？ Oh. But if you send him back to the man village， theyll ruin him. Theyll make a man out of him. We should send him back to the wolf pack. Whos their alpha？ Akela， he can protect him.

Bagheera： Akela is dead.

Baloo： What？

Bagheera： Shere Khan killed him. He will stop at nothing until he has this boy. Nothing. The only way we can save him is if he goes to that man village. Please， Baloo. Youre the only one hell listen to.

Baloo： Hey， kid.

Mowgli： Hey.

Baloo： That was pretty cool， what you did back there.

Mowgli： Bagheera didnt think so.

Baloo： Oh， no. I talked to him. He was very impressed.

Mowgli： He was？

Baloo： We both were. Yeah. Ive never seen anyone get that close to an elephant before. So， listen， kid. I gotta talk to you about something.

Mowgli： What do you wanna talk about？

Baloo： Well， you know. Ive been thinking. Now that your friend has shown up， maybe its time for you two to just mosey along. You know， now its winter and its really time for you to go.

Mowgli： But 1 wanna stay here with you. Were buddies， arent we？

Baloo： Huh？ No， we were never friends. 1 certainly never thought of you as my friend. I mean， you helped me get honey and I dont really need you anymore but ... Do I have to spell this out？ I dont want you around anymore. （to Bagheera） Well， I did it. And thats about the hardest thing Ive ever done.

Bagheera： 1 know.
