The Qiantang Roller Skating Center, located 17 kilometers east of theAsian Games Village, covers an area of 46,209 square meters and offers 1,384seats for spectators. With a skateboard park and a roller skating rink, it standsas Asias first integrated roller skating center ( 亞洲第一个综合轮滑中心),combining skateboarding and roller skating.
Designed with a “rollerskating whirlwind” (“轮滑飞旋”)concept, the center resembles twoArabic numerals “6” stacked uponeach other, mirroring a whirlwindtop on the banks of the QiantangRiver. The track is built to thelatest technical standards of the World Roller Skating Federation ( 世界轮滑联合会), featuring double-curved slopes ( 双弯曲的斜坡) and elongated ( 拉长的), widened straights. “This design benefits the athletes, allowing them tomaintain speed while transitioning from straight to curved paths( 直道进入弯道时), ensuring greater safety.”
The Asian Games Skateboard Park, north of the roller skating rink,is divided into bowl and street sections ( 碗池和街式两部分). The bowl, about 3 meters deep, is surrounded by arc-shaped walls of varying heightsand slopes, offering complex curves and rich skating routes for challengingand creative performances. The street section features diverse terrains withobstacles ( 有障碍的不同地形) like stairs, handrails, benches, and more, meeting athletes competition needs to a greater extent.
The venues roof is made of a pure steel frame structure, covered with analuminum-magnesium-manganese alloy ( 铝镁锰的合金材料). Surroundingguardrails use polycarbonate ( 聚碳酸酯), a material light, soft, and elastic, ensuring athletes safety. LED lights are strategically placed to ensure athletescan clearly see every point on the track, enhancing the spectators enjoymentof the competition.
Skateboarding, an extreme sport, differs from traditional sports withno fixed action patterns. It requires skaters to use their imagination andcreativity, offering high levels of challenge and entertainment value.
