Working as an English Announcer in the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games我在杭州亚运会担任英语播报员

From September 29th to October 7th， I worked in the 19th Hangzhou AsianGames， announcing for trampoline gymnastics （ 蹦床） and rhythmic gymnastics（ 藝术体操） competitions. This is a job Im more than honored to take up and itleaves me with unforgettable memory that Id like to share with you.

My role， the English announcer， is a position of great importance due to the fact that my voice can be heard by theaudience， athletes， and those watching thelive broadcast on TV or online platforms.Additionally， various departments rely onmy voice to advance the whole event. Thenature of my role creates a sense that Im the“master” of the competition venue， puttingme under constant pressure， thus requiringintense focus throughout the whole course.

Stressful as I was during the competition， I felt unity and cohesion （ 凝聚力） of the Chinese nation as well. Every time when I introduced and invited aChinese athlete to the stage， the entire audience at the venue erupted （ 爆发）in applause and cheers， showing their unwavering （ 坚定不移的） support forour country. Such an enthusiastic response served as a huge encouragement tothe athletes. Whenever I announced that a gold medal-winning team or athletewas from China， both the audience and I myself experienced an overwhelmingsense of excitement. When the national anthem （ 国歌） rang out， I came torealize that one can be moved to tears by its powerful melody （旋律）.

The most impressive moment for me was in the mens trampolinegymnastics final （ 男子蹦床决赛）. Wang， who ranked first in the qualifyinground， committed a critical error in the final and consequently lost his chance towin a medal. The other athlete， Yan， was the last hope of Chinese team， leavingspectators on edge as he took the stage. However， as he flawlessly （ 完美地）made a series of perfect moves and landed gracefully， thunderous （ 雷鸣般的）applause came from the audience.

I witnessed sportsmanship， too. In artistic gymnastics （ 竞技体操）， therewas a 48-year-old veteran （ 老将） from Uzbekistan （ 乌兹别克斯坦）， Oksana Chusovitina （ 奥克萨娜· 丘索维金娜）， who ranked fourth and narrowlymissed out on securing a medal. However， as she finished a beautiful routineand smiled with joy and pride when landing， I knew that she had no moreregrets.

Dear youth， English is a powerful tool for you to see the world. I hope youcan master it， explore the beauty of the world， make Chinese voice heard， andtell Chinese stories well with it.
