黎巴嫩的一位艺术家通过在黎巴嫩首都组织一场摄影展,向观众传递了希望……
Lebanese artist Maher Attar says he wants to convey a message of hope to viewers through a photo exhibition he organized in Beirut, the Lebanese capital.
The four?week exhibition began on August 9. The event is uplifting for the artistic community in Lebanon, which has been suffering from a serious economic crisis that has forced many artists to leave the country.
By exhibiting 31 artistic works from 10 different artists at the Art District House of Photography in eastern Beirut, the exhibition represents Attars efforts to support young Lebanese artists in showing their abilities and pursuing their artistic goals during times of difficulty. “I believe in young peoples potential and in the diversity of art and photography, and I also enjoy sharing my experience and success with the younger generation,” he said.
The Lebanese artist, now in his 50s, started his career as a war photographer during the Lebanese Civil War.
Participants in the exhibition are excited to display their works among Attars wide network of artists, associates, and art enthusiasts in Lebanon. The youngest artist in the exhibition, Cindy Abdo, said the event offered a good chance to meet and talk with professional photographers and increased the visibility (可见性) of her artistic works. “Being the youngest photographer in the room and being the first to sell gave me a lot of motivation for the future,” said the 21?year?old.
Tarek Saab, an artist in his 40s, said he was excited to send his photos to the exhibition. “People were asking for my photos. I was surprised to see people showing big interest in my works,” said Saab.
