Problems and Solutions in Ideological and Political Education under the Training Mode of Excellent and Innovative Talents in Colleges and Universities

Abstract By grasping the characteristics and laws of the growth of excellent talents, this paper objectively analyzes the current situation of ideological and political education and the problems existing in the innovation process of ideological and political education.In accordance with the inherent requirements of the innovation of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, efforts should be made to build a specific path for the innovation of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, which is consistent with the training mode of excellent and innovative talents.

1 Introduction

Against the background of economic globalization, cultural diversity and educational internationalization, the cultivation of innovative talents is one of the keys to the future development of China.In theOutlineoftheNationalMedium-andLong-termEducationReformandDevelopmentPlan(2010-2020), it is pointed out that colleges and universities should "focus on cultivating high-quality professionals and innovative talents with persistent beliefs, good moral character and excellent abilities"[1].The cultivation of excellent and innovative talents is not only the key to improving the national core competitiveness, but also the urgent need for China’s higher education to improve its quality and take the road of connotative development, so as to provide strong talent support for promoting China’s modernization.At the same time, as the main base for cultivating innovative talents, colleges and universities should fully realize that people’s innovative ability is not limited to the cultivation of knowledge and skills in the process of cultivating excellent and innovative talents, and should also help them to constantly define their innovation goals, correct their innovation motivation, and pay full attention to the training and cultivation of their humanistic spiritual qualities such as innovative personality and innovative spirit.The training of these humanistic spiritual qualities is inseparable from effectively carrying out innovative ideological and political education activities[2].It is an urgent need for colleges and universities to carry out personalized ideological and political education under the training mode of excellent and innovative talents to build an innovative country, to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and to deepen the reform of education.Only through continuous innovation and practice, can ideological and political education in colleges and universities develop healthily.

2 Problems in the current mode of ideological and political education in colleges and universities

There is an inherent consistency between the improvement in college students’ ideological and political qualities and the cultivation of excellent and innovative talents[3].With the development of the times, especially the development and popularization of Internet technology, a series of new situations, new topics and new tasks have emerged in college students’ ideological and political education, and there are still many weak links and problems to be solved in college students’ ideological and political education.

2.1 Outdated content of ideological and political educationThe development of today’s society is rapidly changing, especially the rapid development of the Internet has brought a great impact on college students’ way of life, ideas, value orientation and so on.The diversification of modern college students’ ideology requires the continuous innovation of the content of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.The traditional content of ideological and political education is now difficult to meet the needs of the cultivation of innovative talents, the content of education is out of date, can not follow the rapidly changing social development, has little to do with the immediate interests of students, and is not attractive to college students.It can not well guide the practical activities of college students, and can not solve the ideological problems encountered in the process of college students’ development.As a result, the mode of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is difficult to form a set of perfect space system, and can not provide effective help to improve the innovative ability and professional ability of college students.

2.2 Unclear subject of ideological and political educationThe current ideological and political education in colleges and universities does not have a comprehensive understanding of the connotation and standards of the educational subject "excellent and innovative talents in colleges and universities", ignores the internal driving force of talents themselves, and deviates from the main line of people-oriented education[4].In the actual teaching process, colleges and universities only attach importance to the social function of ideological and political education, but do not pay enough attention to the humanistic value pursued by college students themselves.The teaching principle of the "student-centered" mode of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is emphasized, but in the process of practical application, there is often a mode of ideological and political education in colleges and universities divorced from the reality of students, and it is difficult to effectively carry out ideological and political education in colleges and universities, so that the innovative ability of college students can not be effectively improved, and the role of the mode of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is difficult to be effectively reflected.

2.3 Inconsistency of quality of ideological and political educators with the training requirements of excellent and innovative talentsIn the process of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, there are some problems, for example, the teacher forces provided by colleges and universities for ideological and political education are not strong enough, teachers lack advanced ideas and forward-looking thinking for cultivating excellent and innovative talents, and lack professionalism, unable to meet the requirements of the cultivation of excellent and innovative talents[5].The current process of ideological and political education shows that teachers’ innovative ability is influenced and limited by their ideas, and the two teaching teams of innovative talent trainers and ideological and political educators have not been fully integrated.Some ideological and political education teachers are counselors, and their own quality makes them fail to take on the important task of cultivating excellent and innovative talents, which makes it difficult for students’ quality education to be put into practice, and makes it difficult to guarantee the work of training excellent and innovative talents[3,5].

3 The concrete path of the innovation of ideological and political education in colleges and universities under the training mode of excellent and innovative talents

Ideological and political education in colleges and universities under the training mode of excellent and innovative talents is a complex systematic project[4].The purpose of ideological and political education in colleges and universities is to cultivate and shape innovative talents with all-round development.Scientific and effective ways are of great significance to promoting the innovation of ideological and political education of excellent and innovative talents, the scientific process of ideological and political education, and the effectiveness of ideological and political education.Therefore, ideological and political education in colleges and universities must keep pace with the times and innovate constantly, which requires not only bold innovation in theory, but also innovation in practice.

3.1 The inherent requirements of the innovation of ideological and political education in colleges and universitiesThe innovation of ideological and political education in colleges and universities can not stop at the innovation of educational means and methods, and the key is to correctly understand the characteristics and requirements of the times, follow the regularity, embody and highlight the times, which is the inherent requirement of the innovation of ideological and political education in colleges and universities[6].The humanistic care and patriotic emotion aroused by the ideological and political education in colleges and universities are the power source of innovation.In the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics, college students cultivate patriotism and maintain the fine style of hard struggle, so as to inject a source of power for innovative behavior.It can strengthen the national spirit through theoretical course of ideological and political education in colleges and universities and patriotic education activities, and by guiding college students to use dialectical materialism and historical materialism to analyze history and reality, it can promote the integration of humanistic spirit and scientific spirit, and stimulate more innovative inspiration and motivation[7].

3.2 Ideological and political education in colleges and universities should be based on the characteristics of the timesThe internal psychological needs of college students are the fundamental premise for them to receive external ideological and political education.The innovation of ideological and political education in colleges and universities should be based on the times, make the ideological and political education adapt to the changing needs of the times, attach importance to the internal psychological needs of students, and solve the practical problems of college students, such as paying attention to providing all kinds of convenience for students’ study and life; helping students with family financial difficulties tide over the difficulties and complete their studies; helping college students with psychological problems get out of the shadow and return to normal study life; actively helping college students to do a good job in employment and entrepreneurship,etc.[8]The ideological and political education in colleges and universities should meet the psychological needs of college students, solve their practical problems, and strengthen the humanistic care beneficial to the harmonious development of college students’ personality.Only in this way can we promote college students to receive external ideological and political education through various channels so as to enhance the "affinity" with ideological and political education[6].

3.3 Setting up the concept of innovative education and constructing the scientific content of ideological and political educationIn order to adapt to the development of the times, ideological and political education in colleges and universities must establish a "people-oriented" modern and innovative educational concept[8].College students are all about 20 years old, which is the period of the greatest physical and psychological changes.They pursue individual independence, yearn for success, and hope that their own values can be recognized, which is also the key period for the formation of their outlook on life, values and world outlook.Therefore, colleges and universities should correctly understand the personality characteristics, psychological status, hobbies, cognitive level, family environment and other characteristics of college students, and carry out targeted ideological and political education for different individuals to stimulate college students’ innovative enthusiasm and potential and give positive guidance to make it develop in a correct and effective direction.Based on the ideological and political education content of the excellent and innovative talent training mode, everything should be people-oriented, and we should respect, understand and care about people, fully mobilize and stimulate students’ enthusiasm and creativity, and strengthen college students’ positive emotional experience, cultivate their innovative personality, hone their innovative will, shape their good moral personality, and help them form a correct outlook on life and values.

3.4 Building a team of high-quality and innovative teachers and strengthening the role of teachers in ideological educationImproving the quality of teachers and strengthening the construction of teaching staff is the key to implementing educational innovation and cultivating excellent and innovative talents.A team of high-level teachers with both ability and political integrity and first-class scholarship is the main body to carry out ideological and political education for college students.Colleges and universities should focus on echelon construction and innovation team construction, take the construction of teachers’ ethics as the center, constantly optimize the structure of teachers, and strengthen the management and construction of teachers.By taking a variety of measures, it is necessary to maximize the enthusiasm and creativity of teachers, establish the concept of competition, expand teachers’ international vision and strengthen the introduction and training of teachers in order to improve teachers’ professional quality, their own ideological quality and moral cultivation, and to improve teachers’ innovative consciousness and ability to educate and infect college students with the personality charm of educators[6,9].

3.5 Cultivating the comprehensive practical ability of innovative talentsFor a long time, it has been a major problem of talent training in colleges and universities to emphasize theory over practice and knowledge transfer over ability training, and practical teaching has been placed in a secondary and subordinate position, resulting in the lack of effective training of the comprehensive practical ability of excellent talents, hindering the exertion of innovative ability[10].Practical teaching is an important means to help college students effectively transform what they have learned into practical application ability.The social practice link set up in the ideological and political theory course can provide a good opportunity for college students to get in touch with innovative characters, understand the growth process of innovative characters, and understand how innovative achievements move from idea to reality step by step.Social practice helps college students to use the innovative ideas in their concepts to transform existing things and carry out invention and innovation.

3.6 Building an ideological and political education environment conducive to the cultivation of excellent and innovative talentsIn the process of cultivating excellent and innovative talents, it is inseparable from the support of a good ideological and political education environment in colleges and universities.The construction of "campus network" has covered every corner of the campus, which has a profound impact on college students’ study, life and way of thinking.The network can provide a large amount of information, rich resources, convenient communication, fast transmission, and is not limited by time and space, which affects college students’ curiosity and imagination, greatly expands the space of ideological and political education, makes the content of education lively and interesting and maximizes the initiative of college students to obtain information, so it becomes a new frontier to carry out ideological and political education for college students[5-6].

In the process of creating the environment of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, we should make good use of campus networks, school newspapers, campus broadcasts and publicity windows to build a frontier of ideological and political education on the Internet, expand its coverage and enhance its influence.In an equal, open and interactive network environment, we should strive to create a loose and harmonious environment and atmosphere for ideological and political education in colleges and universities, effectively promote the innovation ability of college students and improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education[3-4].

4 Conclusions

To sum up, in order to enhance the effectiveness of the innovation of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, we should be fully aware that the innovative process of ideological and political education in colleges and universities plays an important role in promoting the cultivation of innovative ability of excellent and innovative talents in the process of cultivating excellent and innovative talents[11].At the same time, it is necessary to respect the differences in the individual development of college students, and formulate an ideological and political education model suitable for colleges and universities according to the new characteristics of college students in the new period.In addition, colleges and universities should increase support for ideological and political educators and encourage ideological and political workers to innovate in ideological and political education.We should also be fully aware that only by constantly improving the existing mode of ideological and political education and carrying out effective innovation, can colleges and universities really play a role in the cultivation of excellent and innovative talents.
