◆Get a clear perspective2！

要有清晰的认识！

When you start feeling like homework is a drag3， it might help to start thinking about the reason youre doing homework in the first place. The work you do now is really important. In fact， your everyday homework is the work that will form the foundation4 for your future. Right now you are probably being forced to study something that doesnt interest you at all， but its really important and necessary.

Why？ You see， you may not believe that youll need your algebra5 skills later in life， but algebra sets the stage for understanding principles6 of science and business. Its the same for English homework. Youll need those skills in college， and youll certainly need them to succeed in the world.

当你开始觉得家庭作业是累赘时，先想想你做作业的理由可能会有所帮助。你现在所做的真的很重要。事实上，你每天的家庭作业都是为你的未来奠定基础。现在你可能被迫学习一些根本不感兴趣的东西，但它真的很重要且有必要。

Most students have a special talent in one particular area， so they enjoy doing homework on that. The problem comes when they avoid doing the other stuff.

The good news is that you dont need to love everything. Just pick one area you love and become the expert. Get a serious attitude！Once you become an expert in the field you love， you will gain confidence in yourself and become more tolerant8 of the subjects you dont enjoy so much.

大多数学生在一个特定的领域都有特殊的天赋，所以他们喜欢做相关的作业。当他们逃避做其他事情时，问题就来了。

If you think youre at a disadvantage to other students， you can turn things around by getting a competitive attitude.

Think of everything as a challenge and set out to do your work better than anybody else. Try to surprise everyone—including the teacher—by doing outstanding work.

如果你认为自己与其他学生相比处于劣势，你可以通过树立竞争意识来扭转局面。

要把每一件事都看作是一个挑战，并着手比别人更好地完成你的任务。通过努力，让每个人，包括老师，都大吃一惊。

If you get bored just thinking about homework， then you may need to focus on setting and reaching goals.

For example， if you are having trouble getting started on a big goal， then divide your project into steps. Then， reward yourself each time you finish a step successfully. Your parents will probably support you in this endeavor9.

如果你只要想到作业就觉得无聊，那么你可能需要将注意力集中到设定和实现目标上。

Adults from all walks of life are concerned about education.

There are lots of people who care very much that you succeed in school. Students usually have encouragement from their families.

Teachers in your school have a big stake10 in your success. They are judged on your performance. If you dont do well， they dont do well.

Youll find that there are lots of people who are interested and willing to cheer you on！

各行各业的成年人都很关心教育。

有很多人非常关心你在学校里的成功。学生们通常有家人的鼓励。
