一、技法指导
介绍旅游地点通常是以说明为主、描写为辅、叙述为主线的说明文。写作时要做到要点全面，语言简洁明了，引人入胜。时态常用一般现在时。
在描写过程中，用简洁的语言说明它的地理位置、人文历史以及旅游路线等。这种文章的写法比较灵活，在描写的过程中可以抒发感情，夹叙夹议。一篇好的文章不仅能引导读者跟作者一起欣赏美丽的风景，还能启迪人的思想，陶冶人的情操，给人以美的享受。
二、常用句式
1. 介绍地理位置：be located in...; be situated in...; lie in...; stand at the foot of / on the top of...
2. 介绍气候：the weather / climate there is...; it is warm all year around; rain a lot
3. 介绍人口：... has a population of...; a city / country with a population of...
4. 介绍面积：... has / covers an area of... square kilometers; （a city） with an area of... square kilometers
5. 介绍历史：... has a long history of... years; has witnessed too much coming and going in history
6. 介绍名胜古迹：places of interest / historical spots
7. 介绍特色：（The place） is famous for...; The special character of the place is...
8. 介绍交通：It is very convenient for...; The best way to experience... is...; It takes... to take a bus from... to...; ... is only 20 minutes' drive from downtown; ... is within easy reach
三、实战演练
假设你是李华，你的美国朋友Tom打算去台湾旅行，特来信向你了解台湾岛的有关情况。请根据下列提示写一封回信，简单介绍一下台湾岛的情况，并祝他旅途愉快。
1. 台湾是我国最大的岛屿，位于福建省的东南部，北临东海，东临太平洋，西南面被南海环抱;
2. 台湾岛面积约三万六千平方公里，人口两千多万;
3. 自然资源丰富，香蕉、稻米、茶叶等农产品驰名中外;
4. 风景优美，气候宜人，世界各地的游客纷至沓来。
