Perseverance and Prospects: Global Convention and Exhibition Industry under the Epidemic Crisis

At the beginning of the new year, the sudden hit of the COVID-19 pandemic has forced all kinds of large-scale events to be cancelled, which not only first paralyzed the Chinese convention and exhibition industry, but has also quickly spread to all continents around the world, and the global MICE industry was heavily attacked. Thus, what is the pulse of the global convention and exhibition industry in the epidemic? How do industry professionals from various countries view the impact of the epidemic? What management and support measures have the relevant authorities introduced for the convention and exhibition industry? What long-term effects will the epidemic have on the industry? How can the industry better prepare for the future? Around these topics, four experienced conference and exhibition representatives from Germany, Australia, and Malaysia have been invited to bring the voice of the international front-line MICE industry. They generally believe that although the industry is currently in a stagnant state, but once the epidemic situation is lifted, the convention and exhibition platforms featuring face-toface communication will display its unique value.
