Since the founding of the Peoples Republic of China 70 years ago, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has striven to create systems rooted in China and consistent with Chinas national conditions.
Chinas governance is defined by five traits. First, governance has political nature. Leadership of the CPC is the most essential feature and the greatest advantage of socialism with Chinese characteristics as well as one of the significant advantages of Chinas state system and national governance system. Second, Chinas governance stresses serving the people. The people are the creators of history, and promoting the peoples well-being and comprehensive development is the essential mission of the Partys commitment to serving the public good and exercising power for the benefit of the people. Third, Chinas governance calls for integrity. It emphasizes strengthening construction of a national system, promoting the modernization of national governance and avoiding fragmentation of system construction and national governance. Fourth, Chinas governance is driven by innovation. Since the founding of the Peoples Republic of China in 1949, the country has always adhered to reform and innovation, kept pace with the times and continuously pursued self-improvement and self-development to build a society full of vitality. Fifth, Chinas governance has adopted a holistic approach. According to the principle and method of systematization, China continues to improve its state system and advance the modernization of national governance.
