Task 2
With all the hate, bitterness and pettiness(琐碎)going on in this nation today,I wanted to share what has turned out to be one of the top ten days of my entire life.
I work for Vons in Bishop and today we had a group of military personnel(军事人员)come in to the store on their way to Bridgeport.A customer came to me and said that she wanted to buy all of their purchases. All of them!
I told her that she could purchase a gift card and that I would open up a register and just ring all of them up on the one ticket. She agreed and wondered about how much of a card to buy,$500 or$600?In looking around and seeing that they were just buying sandwiches and drinks,I thought that was way too much and she ended up purchasing one for$300 and if there was anything left, she would come back in at a later date to pick it up.
I opened a register and announced over the intercom(对讲机)for all military personnel to come. The customer quickly left the store. As the young men and women began to come through with their purchases,I got to tell them that all their purchases were paid for!The gratitude and amazement on all their faces was a priceless experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.I let them know where the generosity came from and they all said thank you.
Other members of our community saw what was going on and that the money easily surpassed(超过)the$300 and began handing me money to cover the rest.
I could barely hold back the tears as I was checking these fine young soldiers out. This community showed that there is still a tremendous amount of love and support for our country and the people who serve it.

Task 3
After long hours of waiting for my friend at the bus station,I got tired and was tempted(引诱)to just leave and plan another meeting.
As I was still deciding, there came a man selling culture shoes and started showing them off to me so as I could buy or something,I just smiled and said thank you.I don't know if it was the smile or what but the young man stepped closer and stood beside me and started talking to me.“You know I didn't just end up like this, selling shoes,I had a life...had a family but one day life just turned up side down and all was gone just like that,”he said. Those were his words,in short, his wife stole all his money, sold his car and house,it was really a hard time for him and he was psychologically anguished.A lot happened and then he decided to pick up the pieces of his life and try to make ends meet, that's when he started making culture shoes and selling them to earn a living.
As I stood there listening to him pour out his heart and story of his life,I was still surprised how in the world can someone be so open to a total stranger like that and it dawned on me that some people get relieved(减轻)that way.You see,a lot of times we meet people and most of them have burdens in their hearts, some of them don't even have a person to listen to them,so I've learned to be good to all people and always give them my time to listen to what they have to say.By doing this it will not only help that particular person but also the one listening since you get to learn something from them and see the other side of life. This will make the world a better place to live in for all of us.

Passion is something that we develop as time goes on.You'll have to go out and try new things(or stay in and try new things. The world works like that now). You'll have to open yourself up to new possibilities and embrace them without fear. This is how passion is developed, through countless experiences and embracing the unknown, through a search for knowledge.
Once that passion is developed, you'll have to stoke the flames of the fire with consistency. You'll have to get up each and every day and tell yourself that you can and will do whatever you want to do.Passion is what you love to do,but you must stick with it and put your efforts to gain knowledge and expertise in that area.
