In 1968, the artist Andy Warhol said, “In the future, everybody will be world famous for 15 minutes.” Today, it seems that his words are becoming true.
The tune(旋律) is simple, and the words dont make sense. But in 2012, 13-year-old Rebecca Blacks song “Friday” became super famous. Rebecca recorded the song as a music video for a small record company in 2011. The company posted it on YouTube. In its first month online, very few people saw it. The following year, a popular blogger wrote about the video. He called “Friday” the worst video ever.
Suddenly, the video went viral. Do you know why? Because everyone wanted to know why the blogger said like that about “Friday”. People often watched the video on Friday. Soon, other people posted similar music video, inspirited by“Friday”. For example, a famous actor posted a video called “Thursday”. It had the same tune but different words. Its words didnt make sense either, but they were very funny. By the end of 2012, “Friday” had over 200 million views. It was one of the most-watched videos on YouTube. Rebecca was famous.
In 21st century, the meaning of fame (名氣) has changed. Online video-sharing websites like YouTube make it possible for ordinary people just like you and me—instead of movie companies or magazines, for example—to decide who is famous. However, this fame may not be based on any real talent. You could be famous for being a very bad singer or just doing something silly. For some people, this can mean that fame happens when we dont expect it or even when we dont want it.
However, your chances of becoming famous are still very small. In fact, 90 percent of videos viewed on YouTube are from people, like pop stars, who are already famous.

A. serious B. encouraging C. disappointing D. strange

B. people wanted to know if it was so bad
C. people realized it was in fact a good video
D. people liked Rebecca Blacks other videos

A. ordinary people can also become famous
B. People dont expect fame at all
C. Movie companies decide who gets famous
D. fame may not be based on real ability or quality any more
( )40. According to the writer, _______.
A. everyone can become world famous quickly
B. its not always a good thing for some people to become famous
C. people can get famous only through YouTube
D. if you posted similar music video like “Friday”, you can be famous

I am a doctor in a small English town. One evening, I was off duty. Suddenly, my telephone rang. It was the stage (舞臺) manager of a theater in the center of town. She said an actor needed medical help and he was resting in a room near a side entrance (入口) to the theater.
I stopped my car near the theater but the building was new to me. I found a side entrance and walked in. There was nobody there, so I went a little further. I came to some curtains (幕布), and could hear some voices from the other side. I thought that I had found the right place, so I opened the curtains and went into the room.
I suddenly stopped. I found I had walked onto the stage. The actors were performing a play called Romeo and Juliet, so they were all in 16th century costumes(戏服), while I was standing there dressed as a doctor from the 21st century!
There was total silence for a moment. Then one actor came towards me. He spoke in a loud voice:
“Kind stranger! I see by your clothing that you have traveled from afar (从远方)! Come! Let me offer you food and you may tell me what news you bring.”
Very clearly, he made it appear that I was part of the play, although I did not think anyone in the audience(观众) was fooled! After saying these words, he led me off the stage and helped me find the stage manager. I was able to treat the patient and then returned home.
Unluckily, a reporter watched the play. The next day, there was a big story on the front page about my unexpected (没有料到的) starring performance in Romeo and Juliet!
