漂亮女孩

17歲的佐伊是个漂亮的女演员。但是在一次演出后，却被一家媒体评论为“演技不佳”。这让佐伊很生气，她决定去证明一下自己。

On Tuesday evening， Zoe and her friend Annie are drinking coffee in a coffee shop. There， Zoe sees a boy sitting at a table across the room.

“Who’s that boy？” she asks Annie.

“Mike Morrison. He wrote a bad review of the Romeo and Juliet. You were in it，” says Annie.

“Right！ What does he know about acting？” Zoe says angrily. “I’m a good actress and I will prove it to Mr Morrison！”

The next day， a woman comes to Mike. She is carrying a magazine under her arm. “Hello， Mr Morrison？” she says. “My name is Kate Lawson. I’m the editor of Yes！ Magazine. Do you know it？”

“Yes， I know it，” Mike says. “It’s a magazine about famous people.”

“That’s right，” says Kate. “Do you want to do an interview for us？ It is with Todd Marin. He is a famous playwright.”

“I want to write plays one day， so perhaps I can learn something from Todd Marin，” Mike thinks. He accepts the job.

Later that evening， Zoe is speaking to Annie on the phone.

“So I told him I’m the editor of Yes！ And asked him to interview Todd Marin！” Zoe tells Annie.

“Todd Marin！” Annie says. “But he throws magazine reporters out of his house！”

“I know！” Zoe says， laughing. “And I will stand outside his house and watch Todd throw Mike out！”

The next morning， Zoe watches Mike entering the house of Todd Marin. She waits and waits. An hour goes by and nothing happens.

Later， Mike leaves Todd’s house. They shake hands and say goodbye to each other.

“What’s happening？ Why are they so friendly？” Zoe thinks.

Mike comes out and sees “Kate” waiting.

“I’m sorry I can’t lie to you，” says Mike. “I didn’t interview for Yes！ Todd doesn’t want to talk to reporters about his life. We talked about play writing. Nothing for Yes！ Please don’t get angry.”

Zoe laughs. “No， it’s OK，” she takes off her hair， glasses and smiles at Mike. And now he knows her.

“Am I a good actress now？” she says. Mike’s face turns red. He feels embarrassed.
