2019年考研英语（一）的大作文属于哲理型漫画作文，即漫画反映的是一种人生哲理。人生哲理一般充满正能量，对年轻人富有教育意义，如坚韧、毅力、自信、乐观、善良、勤奋、合作、团结等。我们要写好这种类型的漫画作文，首先要仔细观察漫画，准确理解漫画的寓意。在本题的漫画中，我们可以看到两个登山者爬到了半山腰，其中一个瘫坐在台阶上说：“累了，爬不动了。”而他的同伴递给他一瓶水，劝他休息一下再接着爬。结合漫画下方的标题“途中”，我们可以看出这幅漫画的寓意是：毅力对于成功非常重要。

The drawing above shows two men climbing a hill. One of the climbers got so tired that he collapsed on a step， ready to give up. His companion， however， is handing him a bottle of water and encouraging him to go on climbing.

Obviously， the picture is aimed at emphasizing the importance of perseverance， a character trait that separates achievers from the rest of the pack. As we know， life is rarely plain sailing. To succeed you have to persevere through daunting obstacles. Studies have shown that highly successful people are those who have failed many times but who have tried again and again and again. Those who quit easily， however， never amount to anything great. If Thomas Edison， the American inventor who invented the electric light bulb， had given up the first time he failed， this marvelous invention might not have been possible as early as 1879.
