As English becomes more and more accepted as an international language，it is increasingly included in primary curriculum.The government has emphasized its importance in primary teaching. Teaching must be"student-centered".The student is the main subject in class;the teaching method should satisfy the needs of the students.In the teacher's guidance，the students could learn object get through the observation，analysis and conclusion and so the logic thinking activity can help them to find themselves，the discovery learning， and in the carefree atmosphere enjoy learning

一、The Function of Games

According to the pupils of physical and mental development demand，the purpose of primary school English course：stimulate students'interest in English study and cultivate their positive attitude of the English learning，leading them to establish self-confidence in preliminary English learning;Cultivate the students with certain sense of language and good pronunciation，intonation foundation.It makes them using English for communication in daily life，and lays a foundation for further study in primary school English lesson.Using the game activities in teaching method can achieve twice the result with half the effort，containing the knowledge and the game，let the students in a happy and harmonious atmosphere actively acquire knowledge.I think the game teaching has the following functions.

At the same time，when applying the game in the English teaching，we should pay attention to several questions.At the beginning of it，attention to the purpose of education.The basic purpose of game education is to finish the teaching objectives and tasks.Only according to a certain teaching task，put the content of education into the game，focus knowledge on playing gamesand learning language.Thereby，students can get much knowledge through entertainment. Second，teacher should pay attention to a flexible form.Education is an art;the life of art is creative.Therefore，English game teaching wants to make students accept with pleasure.The teacher should search and collect all different kinds of games，and to design some new creatively games to attract interests of students.Third，we should pay attention to the organization of teachers.Both teacher and students are the main participants;the relationship of them is interaction.The function of teacher is to organize activities systematically，and set an right example for students.It needs teacher to carefully organization.Only in this way，students can get language knowledge and cultivate the language ability from games，and then promote the development of intelligence.

Game teaching method is an approach that children imitate adults to save problem and their behaviors.It has been said that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.Thus it can be seen that game is not only well-liked by children，but also has a positive influence on the education effect
