陡峭的山坡上,一头羚牛正在察探这片草地;茫茫大雪覆盖荒凉山地,一只雪豹正小心翼翼地行进……汇聚了美国摄影师Jed Weingarten和中国摄影师王建军的美中两国西部风光图片《探索大洋彼岸——美中旅游摄影展》,3月30日在重庆图书馆圆满收官。那些极具自然美感和视觉冲击力的作品,在为期1个月的展示中,收获观众无数好评。

On the steep hillside, a gazelle is exploring the meadow, and a snow leopard is carefully marching through the vast snow-covered desolate mountains... The beauty scenery is available in the exhibition of collected pictures of the Western scenery of the United States and China by the American photographer Jed Weingarten, and the Chinese photographer Wang Jianjun. With the theme on Exploring the Other Side of the Ocean, US-China Tourism Photography Exhibition, the exhibition drew to its close in March 30th at Chongqing Library. Those works with natural beauty and visual impact have won numerous praises from the audience during the one-month long exhibition.
本次摄影展由美国驻成都总领事馆为庆祝美中两国建交40周年,增进两地人文交流而举办。美国摄影师Jed Weingarten、中国摄影师王建军多年探索美中两国西部多地,捕捉不同地区令人震撼的自然之美、人文风情和野生动物活动场景,充分展示了两国优美的自然风光。
The photo exhibition was held by the Consulate General of the United States in Chengdu to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and China and to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries.Jed Weingarten, the American photographer, and Wang Jianjun, the Chinese photographer, have been exploring the western regions of the United States and China for many years, capturing the shocking natural beauty, human customs and wildlife scenes in different regions, and presenting the beautiful natural scenery of the two countries.

不论是青藏高原神秘的卡乐石山麓,还是遥远的不丹河流,或是加拿大北极圈上的浮冰一角,都有Jed Weingarten竭尽全力捕捉那些鲜为人知的野生动物或文化遗迹的脚印。他携手Russ Mittermeier完成了保护国际基金会记录中国濒危灵长类动物的项目。王建军多年来专心致力于中国西部风光、人文地理,以及历史题材的拍摄和探索,逐渐形成了自己独特而鲜明的摄影艺术风格,受到社会各界的广泛关注,在国内外颇具影响。
美国驻成都总领事馆新闻文化领事蓝明凯表示,希望借此次摄影展激发大家去探索美中两国自然人文美景。同时,希望通过这些珍贵的影像资料,能唤起更多的人参与保护自然环境和野生动物。
“国之交在于民相亲,民相亲在于心相知。人文交流是中美友好关系发展的重要内容。”市政府外办领事处处长范青表示,美国驻成都总领事馆在重庆举办这次摄影展,必将激发重庆市民探索两国美景的愿望,从而进一步促进双方人文交流和旅游合作,推动相互了解和互利合作。
Whether it is the mysterious foothills of the Carlestone Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the distant rivers of Bhutan, or the corner of the floating ice in the Canadian Arctic Circle, Jed Weingarten has made every effort to capture the footprints of those little-known wildlife or cultural relics. Together with Russ Mittermeier, he completed the project of the International Foundation for the conservation of endangered primates in China. For many years, Wang Jianjun has devoted himself to the photography and exploration of scenery,human geography and historical subjects in Western China. He has gradually formed his own unique and distinct photographic art style, which has attracted wide attention from all walks of life and deliver considerable influence at home and abroad.
Lan Mingkai, Press and Cultural Consul General of the United States in Chengdu, said he hoped to use the photo exhibition to inspire people to explore the natural and cultural beauty of the United States and China. At the same time, it is expected that through these precious images, more people will be aroused to participate in the protection of the natural environment and wildlife.
“The turning point of a country lies in the mutual affinity of the people, and the mutual affinity of the people lies in the mutual understanding of the heart.Humanistic exchanges are an important part of the development of Sino-US friendly relations.” Fan Qing, head of the Consulate General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Municipal Government, said that the holding of the photo exhibition by the US Consulate General in Chengdu in Chongqing would certainly inspire Chongqing citizens to explore the beautiful scenery of the two countries, promote cultural exchanges and tourism cooperation between the two sides, and thus promote mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation.

摄影师驾车四处寻找野生动物时,发现了这只正在穿越马路的赤麂(又称麂子)。摄影师发现它后侧有血迹,知道它受伤了。它跳过公路边的水渠想钻进森林,却滑进了水渠并开始游泳。摄影师随即拍了几张照片,发现受伤的麂子没办法爬出来,便放下相机跳进及腰的冰凉水渠中救助麂子脱离困境。在摄影师的努力下,麂子终于得救,回归山林。
