The Grand Canyon National Park was listed as a World Natural Heritage site(世界自然遗产)in 1979. It is a steepsided canyon carved by the Colorado River in Arizona, in the United States. The Grand Canyon is 446 kilometers long, up to 29 kilometers wide and attains a depth of over 1.6 kilometers.

Yosemite National Park is an American national park located in the western Sierra Nevada of Central California. Designated as a World Heritage site in 1984, Yosemite is internationally recognized for its granite cliffs(花岗岩峭壁), waterfalls, clear streams, giant sequoia groves(巨型红杉林), lakes, mountains, meadows, glaciers(冰川), and biological diversity. Almost 95% of the park is designated wilderness.
