Tide will open 2,000 laundries in the United States by 2020

Tide, a subsidiary of P&G, recently announced that it would officially develop its laundry business.By 2020, Tide will open 2,000 laundries in the United States to provide all-round & on-demand laundry service.

This business is called Tide Cleaners Program.Specifically, Tide's laundry service includes not only laundry stores but also laundry drop-in boxes in apartments and office buildings, laundry service trucks on campus, etc. Besides washing, it also provides ironing, folding, and dry cleaning services.

Although this program seems to be newly released,Tide already had a layout in the laundry field before.Tide has acquired laundry and dry cleaning services 10 years ago, with the number of customer reaching 26 million. Tide has now opened more than 125 service points in 22 states of the United States, most of which are franchise stores run by families, singly.

Tide has also performed well in the last year.According to the financial report, P&G's net sales in 2018 increased 3% year on year to reach 66.8 billion USD, with sales in its clothing and home care departments approaching 5.4 billion USD. Tide occupies a fifth of the laundry detergent market in the United States.
