在甜品区，他们有一台冰淇淋机让你可以自制圣代冰淇淋。听起来是不错，不过大多数餐馆不让客人自己动手肯定是有原因的。 At the dessert bar， they have an ice-cream dispenser where you can make your own sundae. I know that sounds great， but theres a reason most restaurants dont let customers operate the soft-serve machines.

老妈喜欢去老麦家常菜的原因是老麦家有个波波池，她希望曼尼可以在那里学着跟其他同龄人一起玩。One of the reasons Mom likes to go to Cornys is that they have a ball pit， and shes hoping Manny will learn to play with other kids his age.

但曼尼通常会把自己埋在一堆球下面，用这个方法来躲开其他孩子，然后一直耗到回家为止。But Manny usually just buries himself in a pile of balls to hide from the other kids and then waits it out until its time to go home.

上周四我們去了老麦家，老妈让曼尼到塑料管道里去玩，这样他就不能躲在波波池里了。不过曼尼在上面吓得脚软了，不敢自己爬下来。Last Thursday we went to Cornys， and Mom actually made Manny go in the plastic tubes so he couldnt hide in the ball pit. Manny got freaked out up there， though， and he was too scared to come down on his own.

老妈让我上去解救曼尼，因为我是家里唯一一个勉强能爬进塑料管道的人。So Mom told me I had to go up there and get him since I was the only one in the family who was small enough to crawl in the tubes.

我试图从曼尼进去的地方往上爬，不过那头太窄了，我挤不过去了，只好作罢。I tried climbing up through the area Manny had used to get to the tubes， but it was too tight of a squeeze and I had to bail out.
