Doctor Who Doesn't Forget

One day, with no money to buy lunch, a poor boy decided to ask for a meal.However when a lovely young woman opened the door. He was very1)nervous.

He didn’t ask for a meal, but a drink of water. She could see he was hungry.Soon she brought him a large glass of milk, “How much do I2)oweyou?” he asked.

“Nothing,” she said, “Mother taught me never to3)acceptpayment for an act of kindness.” As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt his body stronger but also his mind.

Years later, that young woman became very ill. She went to a big city to see the doctors.

Dr. Howard Kelly was one of them. When he heard the name of the town she came from, he went down the hall of the hospital to her room. He4)recognizedher at once. He decided to do his best to save her life.

At last, the woman was out of danger. And the bill arived at her room. She was afraid to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all.
