Yasmina Reza剧作《艺术》(Art)的舞台,该剧作由荷兰阿尔梅勒的“郊外”剧组表演。

这一项目预算很低,但我们却非常享受整个设计过程。临时舞台(一个月)搭建在阿尔梅勒一个城市公园中。借助剧作的魅力,以及独特的选址,这一项目除了审美上的效果,更成为一座场景式建筑。我们的设计以剧中的情节为出发点。

这部剧给人印象最深的就是不同的人对不同的事物有不同的价值观,这就是引发矛盾的原因。这部剧讲述的是一个人正沉迷于自己所买的一幅画,然而他的朋友们却对这幅画嗤之以鼻,尤其是对这幅画的价格。

从艺术形式上来说,无论是戏剧、画作、美术,还是建筑,都有三个关键要素:客体、主体、以及两者间的互动。这个剧院对第三个关键要素,也就是主体与客体之间的互动,体现的比较隐晦。从剧院外面看过去,一边是观众(主体),另一边是演员(客体)。以整个郊区为框架,在两者之间,你(没有)看到的就是这种互动。

实际上,整个建筑就像是一副描绘观众与演员之间互动的画作。也正是这种抽象的互动,能够驱使一个人花大价钱买一副白色的画。

The project was an extremely low budget assignment, on which we worked with great pleasure. The temporary (one month) stage was placed in a field in one of Almere’s city parks. The power of the play and the location where used to create an experience for the visitor, turning this project into an architecture of scene’s, more then of aesthetic refinement. The plot of the play was the starting point of our design.

The first thing I got out of the play was the conflict that arises when different people attach different values to different things. This play is about someone who is fascinated by a painting, a fascination that his friends do not share, especially for the amount of money to be paid for it.

In considering any art form, be it theatre, painting, fine arts or architecture, there are three key elements; the object, the subject, and the interaction between the two. This theatre shows in relatively trivial terms that third and I think key element, the interaction. Seen from outside you see on the one hand the public (subject) and on the other hand, the player (object). What you (don’t) see between them, framed in the countryside, is the interaction.

Actually the building is nothing but a painting in which the interaction between audience and actors of the play is depicted, the same interaction that makes someone buy a white painting for a lot of money.
