Step 1. Lead in.

Greeting &Warming-up

Greeting：

引入：T： Welcome to Beijing zoo. I am going to show you around this zoo. I am your guide. Nice to meet you.

Ss： Nice to meet you， too.

（设计意图：以老师扮演“导游”带领学生参观动物园为一条主线，把整节课的各个环节串联起来；自然地引入新课，逐步呈现所学内容。）

Step 2. 看图学习新单词Learn the new words：

引入：T： The zoo has many kinds of animals . They come from different countries. Before we set off， lets learn the names of the animals.

（设计意图：教师边带读，边在屏幕上显示相关的动物图片；通过这些精美生动的动物图片来进行单词、词组的教学，把单词和相关内容联系，吸引学生的注意力，加深学生的印象。）

Step 3. Talk in pair

Get the students to talk about the questions in pairs.

First， get the students to read these questions.

Next， get them to listen to the tape.

Then， check the answers with the whole class.

Step 5. Reading

First， get the students to read these questions.

Read and complete the table

Next， get the students to read the text in groups and discuss these questions.

Then， get them to ask and answer the questions in pairs.
