大英博物馆百件文物亮相上海

“大英博物館百物展:浓缩的世界史”最近在上海博物馆启幕。展览按照时间线索,从人类文明鸿蒙初开,直到我们创造的当今世界,来自大英博物馆的100件难得一见的藏品,讲述了人类如何改造世界、世界又是如何塑造人类的漫长历程,浓缩了一部悠久而丰富的别样“世界简史”。这100件珍贵文物来自世界各地,小到硬币,大到纪念性雕塑,有的距今200多万年,有的就在我们身边。它们穿越时空齐聚上海,正与今人进行着一场别具一格的历史对话。
展览分为开端、最初的城市、贸易与侵略、适应与创新、邂逅与联结、我们制造的世界等9个部分,作为大英博物馆世界巡展的第9站,此次展览免费向公众开放,将持续至10月8日。

“A History of the World in 100 Objects from the British Museum” has rolled into Shanghai. The exhibition started on June 29 and will last 102 days until October 8. Shanghai is the 9th stop of its world tour. Before Shanghai, it was mounted at the National Museum of China. Admission is free.
The exhibition has brought together 100 exemplary exhibits from the British Museums remarkable collection of 8 million objects. The 100 exhibits combine to be a very convincing and alternative representation of the history of humans from the dawn of civilization to the modern world we are living in. Arranged in a chronological order and following the trajectory of human civilization, the exhibits reflect the immensity and profundity of the human history.
