1 China Helped with Denmark’s Oysters

丹麦“蚝”满为患，中国出“口”相救

Around 500 tonnes[公吨]of oysters[牡蛎，生蚝]have invaded[侵入]Denmark’s shores, but China may eat its way to help them.

Jokingly[开玩笑地], Denmark’s embassy[大使馆]in China turned to social media, inviting Chinese tourists to eat the oysters. They posted[发帖]in late April on Weibo about the oyster problem and received more than 15,000 responses[回应].

Some people said to “eat them to extinction[灭绝].” Some even asked for free trips or an “eaters visa[签证]” to Denmark. Companies like Alibaba and Jingdong offered help.

500公吨左右的生蚝侵占了丹麦的海岸，不过中国食客们说不定能出“口”相救。

丹麦驻中国大使馆开玩笑地向社交媒体“求救”，邀请中国游客到丹麦吃生蚝。四月底，他们在微博上发出关于生蚝泛滥的微博，并收到了一万五千多条回复。

一些人戏称“将它们（生蚝）吃到灭绝”。有些人甚至想要免费丹麦游或是去丹麦的“食客签证”。阿里巴巴、京东等企业也纷纷伸出了援手。

2 Ransomware Broke out Throughout the World

勒索软件席卷全球

A “WannaCry” ransomware[勒索软件]cyber[网络的]attack hit thousands of computers in 99 countries in early May. It locked files in computers and asked for $300 through bitcoin[比特币].

The ransomware attack is the biggest in history. Russian cybersecurity[网络安全]firm said Russia was the hardest hit, followed by Ukraine[乌克兰]and India. In Asia, there were reports of attacks at universities.

五月初，一个名为“WannaCry”的勒索软件通过网络攻击了99个国家的数千台电脑。它锁定电脑中的文件，要求用户支付与300美元等值的比特币。

这次的勒索软件攻击是有史以来规模最大的一次。俄罗斯网络安全局称，俄罗斯受到的攻击最严重，紧接着的是乌克兰和印度。而在亚洲地区，有报道称多所高校遭到了攻击。

3 C919 Took Wing

C919冲上云霄

The C919, China’s first homegrown[国产的]large passenger plane, made its debut[首次登台]flight on May 5thin Shanghai.

The test came just nine days after China debuted its first homegrown aircraft carrier[航空母舰]in Dalian.

The plane took off[起飞]at 2 p.m. After a flight of 79 minutes, the plane returned to Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The flight was at an altitude[海拔]of 3,000 meters and an average[平均的]speed of 300 km/h.

“All the activities made in the air are normal[正常的]. The C919’s debut flight is a complete success,” Cai Jun, captain[机长]of the flight, said afterward.

而就在九天前，中国刚刚在大连亮出了首艘国产航空母舰。

飞机在下午两点准时起飞。它在飞行了79分钟后返回上海浦东国际机场。本次飞行的海拔为3000米，平均飞行速度为每小时300公里。

“飞机的所有空中活动均表现正常。C919首飞取得了圆满成功，”本次C919试飞的机长蔡俊后来说道。

4 China Will Launch Wikipedia Rival in 2018

中国将于2018年推出在线百科全书

China is to use an online national encyclopaedia[百科全书]next year, to compete with[与……竞争]Wikipedia[维基百科].

Officials said more than 20,000 people will work on the project. There will be 300,000 entries[词条]. Each entry will have about 1,000 words.

Unlike Wikipedia, it will be created by selected[精选的]scholars[学者]from staterun[公办的]universities, rather than being openly editable[可编辑的]by volunteers.

“The Encyclopaedia of China is not a book, but a Great Wall of culture,” said Yang Muzhi, the editor-in-chief[主编]of the project.

中国将在明年启动一个全国性的在线百科全书，要与维基百科一争高下。

官方人员称，将有两万多人参与本次项目。百科全书将收录三十万个词条，每个词条约有一千字。

与维基百科不同的是，它将由选拔自公办高校的优秀学者们来撰写词条，而非由志愿者进行公开编辑。

“《中国百科全书》不是一本书，而是一座文化万里长城，”此次项目的主编杨牧之说道。

At the beginning, fidget spinners were made as tools for children with autism[自闭症]and ADHD[注意力缺陷多动症]. But now, they become very popular among students and in the social media.

A fidget spinner is a three-pronged[有尖头的], palm-sized[手掌大小的]piece of plastic[塑料]or metal[金属]. It spins around a bearing[轴承]in the center. As the spinner spins, it can be balanced on top of fingers, toes, or even the nose or forehead. There are YouTube videos showing how to do tricks[把戏]with it. And they attract millions of views. Many kids just can’t put the spinners down.

But to teachers, fidget spinners become a classroom distraction[分心的事物]. So they are being banned[禁止]at many schools.

起初，指尖陀螺是一种用于治疗患有自闭症和注意力缺陷多动症的儿童的工具。不过现在，指尖陀螺在学生群体中和社交媒体上非常流行。
