Abstract: During construction of water resources and hydropower projects , diversion tunnels are temporary construction works and often are permanently plugged and closed after retaining works and intake works are ready for operations. However, early preparations for diversion tunnel plugging , plugging quality , progress and safety will directly influence safe operations of successive projects and water resources and hydropower projects. In this paper , construction preparations before diversion tunnel closed and cautions in construction are analyzed , providing references for similar projects.

Application of Simple Cantilever Crane in Installation of Prestressed Anchor

Abstract: Simple cantilever crane is successfully used in installation of prestressed anchors . Therefore, Installation platforms are not required as that needed in conventional prestressed anchor installation . Construction process are simplified , construction costs are saved , construction periods are reduced and construction safety are ensured. This method is a technical innovation based on actual site conditions , achieving economic , effective and safe goals in projects and can be widely applied in the similar installation construction projects.

Application of Dynamic Replacement in Soft Foundation Treatment for Municipal Road

Abstract: Roadbed is main part of the road and is the foundation of road surface . Therefore , its construction quality is especially important , strengthening measures should be taken in soft foundation part specially. According to project case study , site test for strengthening soft foundation by dynamic replacement is provided , test results for measured settlement , compacting times and filling material volume are analyzed. Meanwhile , testing analysis is performed by dynamic penetration test and laboratory geotechnical test for foundation strengthening results after compaction. Comprehensive testing results show that application of dynamic replacement in treatment for soft foundation in thick miscellaneous fill will improve foundation bearing capacity significantly with good strengthening results.

Safety Management under EPC Mode during Construction of Yangfanggou Hydropo wer Station

Abstract: Yangfanggou hydropower station is the first 1000 MW Hydropower Project that is under EPC mode. This project is located in typical Alpine canyon with high steep slope in two banks and is a geological disaster area with geological hazard assessment level 1 .Therefore , safety is core benefit and survival deadline and the most strict responsibility. Safe production can be ensured only by innovating and carrying out persistent safety management and continuous improvement.
