Whats the matter/problem/trouble?/Whats wrong?

2.Ability Object能力目标:
(1)Enable students to talk about their health problems using target language.
(2)Improve students listening skill.

Let students know keeping healthy is important and learn to care about others.

四、Teaching Procedure教學过程
Before class: Sing a song together “If you are happy”.
Step 1 Warming-up and check what students have learned before class
1.Greeting.
T: There are some parts of our bodies in this song, do you know what are they? This class , well talk something about our bodies. Lets learn Unit 1 Whats the matter? Read together.
2.We have learned the words before class. Now I want to check you.
(Present a picture of a girl with all the body part names. )
First, I want all the students say them together . Then say it quickly without the answers, and we will find the winner.1cnjy.com
3.Work on Section A 1a, students say one by one.
Look at 1a, these letters point to the parts of the bodies, please write the correct letter for each part. I asked you to finish 1a before class, have you finished?
T:You are very great, you did a good job.
Step 2 Presentation
1.New words: headache, toothache, stomachache, fever, cold, sore throat, sore back.
Then summarize how to express parts of the body uncomfortable.
2.Give the target phrases and sentence patterns.
3.But sometimes our body may get ill. When we talk about illness, how do we ask and answer? Listen to a song “Whats the matter?”

4.T: From the video, we also know some illnesses. Lets learn how to talk about illness in group.
Do some sentence practice, two students a group.
Step 3 Group work: To be a doctor
1.The teacher gives the illness and advice. Let the students pay attention to the words“should” and “shouldnt”. Then try to remember all of them.
2.Make dialogues and practice the dialogue with the partner.
3.Show the dialogue in class.
4.This time, the teacher acts the sick and the students act the doctor. Practice the points again.grgargr21-cn-jy.com
Step 4 Work on 1b
1.T: Whats the matter with them?Show the pictures one by one and ask. What are their names?Lets listen and number the names 1-5. For example, Sarah has a cold, we write 1 after Sarah.
2.listen.
3.Check the answers.
4.Listen again. Match the reasons with the illnesses.
Step 5 Work on 2a and 2b
1.T: If we find something is wrong with someone, what advice can we give?
(Show the pictures , ask and answer.)
We can use: What should … do?He/She/I should….
2.Listen, finish 2a.
3.First, guess the answers to 2b. Then listen and check the answers.
Step 6 Exercise
Lets do some exercise according to the points we leant this class.
Step 7 Summarize
What did you learn today? Talk about it in class.
Step 8 Homework
1.Make a dialogue with the sentences that we learnt today.
2.Recite the dialogue in our books.

五、教学反思
本节课的教学内容主要是讨论疾病和针对某项疾病给出的建议,让学生在反复的句型操练中熟悉重点知识,与此同时进行情感上的教育,让学生学会关心他人,重视健康。
在本节课的教学中,侧重言语活动,即以对话为主,体现英语教学为培养学生为交际而运用语言的能力的思想。由浅入深,由简到繁,组成真实情景,让学生模仿,表达思想,把动耳、动口、动眼、及动脑结合起来,动用多种感官去整体感知,逐渐培养学生的语言习惯和表达能力。本节课,我设计了大量的情景练习环节,小组合作的教学理念,并且鼓励学生自己去探索规律。备课时,我进行了充分的准备,尤其是课前的那首英文歌,既渗透了所学的知识,也充分调动了课堂的气氛。在课堂教学中学生配合得也比较好,基本达到了教学目标。但是,回顾整堂课,我还是发现了自己存在的不足:
1.基础练习环节设计得过多,导致部分教学环节时间安排不够合理。
2.课堂英语用语的重复频率有点高,比如鼓励性的言语总是“Great”,还应再丰富一些,例如“Good boy\girl”“Perfect”“You did a good job”“Im proud of you”“Congratulations”等等。
3.提问时只叫到了平时活跃的学生,忽略了层次稍差一点的后进生,造成课堂检测分布不均的情况。
在今后的教学中,我要努力改正不足,继续保持优点,多关注后进生的学习情况,多给他们展示自我的空间,争取真正做到因材施教,人人平等,全力打造一个学生们的“兴趣课堂”,家长们的“放心课堂”!
