· 2017年重庆市与外国领事官员新春工作联谊会在渝举行
1月14日,我市与外国驻渝蓉领事机构2017年新春工作联谊会在重庆外事大楼举行,各国驻重庆、成都领事机构的官员欢聚一堂,畅叙友谊,迎春接福。
副市长刘桂平出席联谊会并致辞。他说,过去一年里,重庆积极融入“一带一路”建设和长江经济带发展,深入实施五大功能区域发展战略,经济社会发展和改革开放取得了可喜成绩。这些成绩的取得离不开各国领事机构的帮助和支持,各国领事机构在经贸、文化、教育、科技、能源以及基础设施建设等领域,致力于推动重庆与各国的务实合作,实现了互利共赢。重庆站在新的历史起点上展现出美好的发展前景,拥有难得的发展机遇,希望各领事机构继续关注并大力支持重庆的开放发展。

匈牙利、英国、以色列、新加坡、意大利、柬埔寨、澳大利亚、埃塞俄比亚等国家驻渝蓉领事机构官员参加联谊会。匈牙利驻重庆总领事罗澜代表外国领事官员致辞,他感谢重庆市政府以及各相关部门对各国领馆的关心和支持,祝愿重庆在新的一年更加美好。

· 澳大利亚驻成都总领事郭南希离任拜会市政府外事侨务办

1月5日,市政府外事侨务办副主任唐文会见了前来进行离任拜会的澳大利亚首任驻成都总领事郭南希。
唐文说,澳大利亚总领事馆虽然位于成都,但是郭南希总领事等各位领事官员高度关注重庆,与重庆各级政府部门、企业、高等院校、文化机构等建立了真挚的友谊,推动了一系列成功的合作,拉近了重庆和澳大利亚人民的距离。今后,希望郭南希总领事继续关注并支持重庆的发展,重庆市政府外事侨务办也将继续与澳大利亚驻成都总领事馆加强合作,推动两地交往,不断深化重庆和澳大利亚在多层面、多领域的交流与合作。
郭南希感谢重庆市政府外事侨务办一直以来给予澳领馆的大力支持。她说,她非常喜欢重庆,重庆和澳大利亚在多个领域有着合作机会。2017年是中澳旅游年,希望今年能在重庆多做一些推介澳大利亚旅游的工作,促进两地人民之间的相互交往和了解。
· 泰国民主党副主席凯亚特·斯提阿蒙率团访渝

1月14日—18日,泰国民主党副主席凯亚特·斯提阿蒙率泰国皇家国防学院协会研修项目第八届研修班一行71人来渝访问。18日上午,凯亚特·斯提阿蒙一行出席了在市外事大楼举行的重庆发展规划及融入“一带一路”情况介绍会。
市政府外事侨务办副主任唐文、市发展改革委有关负责人分别介绍了重庆与泰国交流合作、重庆发展规划和重庆融入“一带一路”的有关情况,并与泰方就加强教育、轨道建设等领域的交流合作交换意见。唐文重点介绍了重庆与泰国在人员往来、友城、旅游、教育、文化等领域的友好交流与合作情况,表示将进一步密切交往,促进互利合作。凯亚特·斯提阿蒙赞赏重庆所取得的发展成就,表示泰方代表团一行愿积极为推动泰国与重庆的友好交流合作牵线搭桥。
· 重庆市侨界代表座谈会举行
1月19日下午,市政府外事侨务办举行重庆市侨界代表座谈会,加强侨界联谊、共谋“双创”发展。市政府外事侨务办党组书记、主任吴康明,副主任杨大庆、张娅茜出席座谈会,重庆市侨界专家学者、企业家、回渝重庆籍海外侨领等二十余人参加会议并发言。
座谈会上,市政府外事侨务办侨务处、经科商务处通报了有关侨务工作开展情况和近期重点工作及项目计划。侨界代表分别以各自所属行业与专业领域为视角,畅所欲言,分享专业、行业动态、企业发展经验,并从涉侨配套政策、侨爱工程项目、文化交流、工作对象、涉侨信息摸底调研、立法等7个方面提出了12条建议,具有很强的针对性和实践性。

2017 New Year Work Sodality for Chongqing and Foreign Consular Of fi cers was held in Chongqing
On January 14th, 2017 New Year Work Sodality for Chongqing and foreign consulates in Chongqing and Chengdu was held in the Foreign Affairs Building. Of fi cers of consulates in Chongqing and Chengdu all had a joyous gathering, chatting cheerfully about friendship to embrace a happy and prosperous (lunar) New Year.
Vice mayor of Chongqing Liu Guiping attended the sodality and made a speech. Liu said, in the past year, Chongqing has actively integrated into the construction of “One Belt and Road” and development of the Yangtze River economic zone, fully implemented development strategy for Chongqing Five Functional Areas, achieving gratifying successes in economic and social development and reform and opening up. These successes cannot be achieved without the help and support of foreign consulates. These consulates have committed to promoting pragmatic cooperation between Chongqing and other countries in the fields of economy and trade, culture, education, science and technology, energy and infrastructure, realizing mutual benefit and win-win result. Standing on a new historical starting point of showing a bright future, Chongqing owns rare opportunities for development, and these consulates are hoped to continue to pay close attention to and support the opening-up and development of Chongqing.
Of fi cers present at the sodality are from consulates in Chongqing and Chengdu of Hungary, Britain, Israel, Singapore, Italy, Kampuchea, Australia, Ethiopia, etc. Mr. Lóránd Dióssi, Hungarian Consul-General in Chongqing made a speech on behalf of foreign consular officials. He expressed thanks to the Chongqing municipal government and relevant departments for the care and support offered to foreign embassies and consulates, wishing Chongqing more prosperous in the coming year.
Tang Yingyu, deputy secretary-general of the municipal government, and Wu Kangming, director of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government also attended the sodality.
Ms. Nancy Gordon, Consul General of Australia in Chengdu, Visited Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Of fi ce of Chongqing Municipal People's Government before Leaving Her Post
On January 5th, Tang Wen, associate director of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government met with Ms. Nancy Gordon, the fi rst Consul General of Australia in Chengdu, who made an official visit before leaving her post.
Tang said, although Australian Consulate General is located in Chengdu, but consular of fi cers like consul general Ms. Nancy Gordon all pay high attention to Chongqing. They have established sincere friendship with government departments, enterprises, institutions of higher learning, cultural institutions with Chongqing at different levels, promoted a series of successful cooperation, shortening the distance between Chongqing and Australia. In the days to come, we hope that Ms. Nancy Gordon can continue to focus on and support the development of Chongqing. Besides, Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government will also continue to strengthen cooperation with the Australian Consulate General in Chengdu, promote exchanges between the two sides and continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation of various levels and fi elds between Chongqing and Australia.
Ms. Nancy Gordon expressed thanks to the strong support to the Australian Consulate offered by Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government. She said she likes Chongqing very much, and would be glad to see that Chongqing and Australia have opportunities for cooperation in different fields. 2017 is the China-Australia Year of Tourism, it's hoped that more work to promote Australian tourism can be done in Chongqing to further advance mutual exchanges and understanding between the two sides.
Khayat Stiamon, Vice Chairman of the Democratic Party of Thailand, Led a Delegation to Chongqing
From January 14th to18th, Khayat Stiamon, Vice Chairman of the Democratic Party of Thailand, led a delegation of 71 people by the 8th seminar of the Royal College of Defence of Thailand to Chongqing. On morning of the 8th, Khayat Stiamon and his party attended the briefing session concerning development planning and integration of “One Belt and Road” of Chongqing in the Foreign Affairs Building.
Tang Wen, associate director of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, and responsible person of Municipal Development and Reform Commission had respectively introduced relevant circumstances about exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and Thailand, and development planning and integration of “One Belt and Road” of Chongqing. They also exchanged views with Thailand on strengthening communications and cooperation in the fields of education, railway construction, etc. Tang focused on introducing friendly exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and Thailand in the areas of personnel exchanges, sister-city relationship, tourism, education and culture, saying Chongqing would deepen contacts and promote mutually bene fi cial cooperation with Thailand. Khayat Stiamon appreciated the achievements made by Chongqing, showing that the Thai delegation is willing to serve as a bridge for the active promotion of friendly exchanges and cooperation between Thailand and Chongqing.
Forum for Overseas Chinese Representatives of Chongqing Was Held
In the afternoon of January 19th, the forum for overseas Chinese representatives of Chongqing was held by Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government to strengthen fellowship of the overseas Chinese circles and strive for development driven by mass entrepreneurship and innovation. Wu Kangming, party secretary and director, Yang Daqing and Zhang Yaxi, associate director of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office attended the forum, Chongqing overseas Chinese experts and scholars, entrepreneurs, leaders of returned overseas Chinese with Chongqing citizenship, nearly 20 people, also attended the forum and made a statement.
At the forum, Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and the Department of Commerce of Chongqing Municipal People's Government introduced the status quo of the work for overseas Chinese affairs and focus of recent work and project plans. Overseas Chinese representatives spoke freely, sharing professional and industry trends, business development experience in their respective industry and professional perspective, and put forward 12 pieces of advice from the aspects of supporting policies concerning overseas Chinese, project items in favor of overseas Chinese, cultural exchanges, work object, information research concerning overseas Chinese and legislation, which are of strong pertinence and practicality.
