Li Xiaopeng Left his duty as the Governor of Shanxi due to transfer

Li Xiaopeng resigned as governor of Shanxi Province. Then, the central government decided to appoint the Deputy Secretary of the Shanxi provincial Party committee Lou Yangsheng, vice governor of Shanxi Province, to be the acting governor. The 57 year old Li Xiaopeng is born in Chengdu, Sichuang Province. Li Xiaopeng is a senior engineer and the eldest son of former Prime Minister Li Peng.Li Xiaopeng had worked in power system for more than 20 years, then he transferred to the official career, and served as vice governor of Shanxi Province. From then on , he has served as executive vice governor, governor and other positions in Shannxi Province. He is also an alternate member of eighteen central committee.

In the early 80s, Li Xiaopeng graduated from North China Electric Power Institute, majoring in power plant and electric power system.He started his career life in 1982 and served various positons in the Power System Research Institute of electric power science and technology and Economic Research Institute.In 1991, Li Xiaopeng entered the state-owned electricity giant Huaneng Group, and had served as assistant general manager, deputy general manager, general manager and Party secretary in this corporation.

During the electric power reform in 2002, Li Xiaopeng was the general manager and party secretary of Huaneng Group. Upon Li Xiaopengs decision, Huaneng completed a series of mergers& acquisitions, and expanding market share in Hainan, Inner Mongolia, Guangdong, Shandong and other places.Finally, Huaneng became Asias largest independent power generation company, and listed on the NYSE, so the dpmestic Chinese media call Li Xiaopeng as " the King of Asian power".

After the Wenchuan earthquake, Li Xiaopeng left the power system and served as vice governor of Shanxi Province, the provincial government deputy secretary of the party in June 2010, the president of the Shanxi School of administration, commerce, market supervision, foreign affairs, tourism etc..January 2013, Li Xiaopeng was elected as governor of Shanxi province.endprint
