Premier Li Keqiang attends an event commemorating the 25th anniversary of dialogue relations between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the Laotian capital of Vientiane on September 7.
China-ASEAN trade has skyrocketed over the past 25 years, with the volume rising from $8 billion in 1991 to $472.2 billion last year. China is ASEAN’s largest trading partner, while the combined ASEAN membership constitutes China’s third largest trading partner.
The premier arrived in Laos on September 6 for a four-day trip to the country, which assumes the chairmanship of ASEAN this year.
