Caren And Sharen

There once was a couple of girls， whose names were Caren and Sharen.Now， Sharen was always worried about her looks， and what people thought about her. And Caren was always helping Sharen to feel good about herself by giving her nice clothes to wear， fixing her makeup， and doing her hair.

Sharen didnt feel good about herself， because while growing up， her parents didnt have a great deal of money， and were unhappy because they were always trying to make ends meet， and pay bills. Although they loved her， they would only scold （责备） her of the times she was bad， never showing their love like parents should. The parents never told her of the good things she did， because they were“expected”of her.

Now Carens parents， who would explain why what she did was “incorrect” rather than scold her， and then show her right， reward （奖励）her for doing good， give her encouragements （鼓励）， and tell her how important she was to them. This made her happy， even though their lives were not much different from Sharens.

So， here Caren was trying to make Sharen feel good about herself， like she should， because that was what “good friends”were for.
