June is a great time of year for walking Turkeys Turquoise Coast and gazing at the Milky Way in the Namib Desert.

Turkeys Turquoise Coast heats up in June， but the sun hasnt quite hit full strength. Walk along the 500km-long Lycian Way on foot through ancient ruins， pine forests， and to glorious sandy beaches. Make sure you wear good walking shoes. You can camp on the way， or base yourself in a town and enjoy it in day trips.

This place is a good starting point， with steep paths from the high-end hotels to unspoilt Butterfly Valley and its sandy beach. Further south along the coast， Patara can be considered as Turkeys longest uninterrupted beach as well as some of Lycias finest ruins. Kalkan has some of the best dining choices on the way.

The desert air cools over Namibia in June， meaning pleasant daytime temperatures and crisp， clear nights. The latter makes a great view of the heavens showing just why the Milky Way got its name.The cooler climate also makes June one of the few months when hikers can take on the worlds second largest canyon： Fish River. The air and land also become drier in June， which makes wildlife to gather around looking for water. At waterholes in Etosha National Park， you can watch elephant， rhino， giraffe， lion， zebra and dozens of other species.
