2007年，以 “纪念之路”为名的唐山地震遗址公园设计方案在来自17个国家的276套方案中脱颖而出，荣获国际设计竞赛一等奖，并被选定为实施方案。公园于2008年9月建成，现已成为唐山市乃至全国最为重要的灾难主题纪念性人文景观之一。

In 2007, a proposal named "Memorial Road" stood out from the 276 proposals (from 17 countries) for Tangshan Earthquake Memorial Park and won the first prize in the international design competition. The construction of the park was completed in September, 2008. It is now one of the most important disaster-themed commemorative human landscapes in Tangshan and even in China.
