上帝的脚印

每个人都希望上帝能在自己人生低潮的时候帮助自己。在生活中，每个人都有自己的上帝，而且他们有一个共同的名字叫“父母”。

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the God. Across the sky flashed1 scenes from his life. Each scene， he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand； one belonging to him and the other to the God.

一天夜里，有个人做了一个梦，他梦见自己在和上帝沿着沙滩漫步。他一生的经历在天空一幕幕地闪现出来。他注意到在每一幕中沙滩上都出现两排脚印；一排是他的，另一排是上帝的。

When the last scene of his life flashed before him， he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

当他生命的最后一幕闪现在眼前时，他回过头去看了看沙滩上的脚印，发现在他生命的旅途中有好多次只有一排脚印；他同时也注意到这种情况总是发生在他一生中最低落的阶段和最伤心的时候。

This really bothered him and he asked the God， “God， you said that once I decided to follow you， youd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome2 times of my life， there is only one set of footprints. I dont understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.”

这确实让他费解，于是问上帝：“上帝，你说过一旦我决定跟从你，你将陪伴我走过一生。可我发现在我一生中最烦恼的时候却只有一排脚印，我不明白为何在我最需要你的时候你却总是离开我。”

The God replied， “My child， I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial3 and suffering4， when you see only one set of footprints， it was then that I carried you.”

上帝答道：“我的孩子，我爱你，我永远也不会离开你。在你经受磨难和痛苦时只看到一排脚印，那正是我背着你的时候。”endprint
