Successful Application of Technology for Production of Steam Cracker Feed from Hydrotreated Coker Dry Gas at Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company
The technology for manufacture of steam cracker feed via hydrotreating of a mixture of coker LPG and coker naphtha, developed by the SINOPEC Fushun Research Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemicals (FRIPP), has been successfully tested on a 600 kt/a unit for hydrotreating the mixed coker LPG and coker naphtha at the SINOPEC Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company to deliver the qualified product. It is learned that the said unit adopts the hydrotreating catalyst LH-10 and the associated process technology independently developed by FRIPP.
The technology for manufacture of the steam cracker feed via hydrotreating of mixed coker LPG and coker naphtha has solved the gut issue related with the shortage of steam cracker feed to effectively increase economic benefits of this enterprise. This technology can have broad market application prospects that can be copied and disseminated among the refining and chemical integrated enterprises.
