Bayan Naoer City and Shandong Xiangguang Held Talks on Cooperation to Push Forward the 200,000 t/a Copper Smelting Project

On April 8, Niu Junyan, member of the Standing Committee of Bayan Naoer CPC Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Bayan Naoer City, held talks with the delegation led by Liu Xuejing, Chairman of Shandong Xiangguang Group, which was paying an inspection visit to our city, in Linhe,the talks focused on joint cooperation in related matters to push forward the 200,000 t/a copper smelting project. City official Ding Fengling and Jia Jun participated in the talks.

At the meeting, relevant chief persons of Shandong Xiangguang Group Company introduced the preparation work of the 200,000 t/a copper smelting project invested and constructed in the city. Both sides conducted communication and consultation over solving problems encountered in the progress of executing the project, and unanimously agreed to further strengthen cooperation, in order to ensure early start of project construction.

Niu Junyan welcomed the delegation led by Liu Xuejing for paying an inspection visit to the city to promote project construction on behalf of the CPC Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government. He said at present the city’s infrastructure including highway,railway, port, and industrial park was being constantly improved, and it was further quickening the pace of developing and utilizing overseas resources; Xianjgguang Group boasts advantages in the aspects of substantial capital,technology, talent, and management,strengthening mutual cooperation would facilitate both sides to bring out respective advantages, and fulfill mutual benefits and winwin. He hoped both sides to further strengthen communication and exchange, quicken the pace of cooperation, and ensure early start of construction and early completion of the project.

Liu Xuejing thanked the support from the CPC Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government toward Shandong Xiangguang Group for its investment project in Bayan Naoer. He said Shandong Xiangguang Group Company had selected and assigned business elites to set up a Preparation Office for the 200,000 t/a copper smelting project, the Group will allocate the most advanced, most ecofriendly and most energy-saving technologies to this project. He was fully confident toward future cooperation between both sides, and hoped both sides would continue strengthening coordination and cooperation, go all out to properly handle project initialization and record keeping, site selection and related matters, in order to facilitate early completion of the project, and fulfill mutual benefits and win-win for both sides.
