Tao Wei Former CPC Committee member of Langzhong involved in discipline violation

On February 20, Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection circulated a notice that Tao Wei, former standing member and chief of the CPC Committee of Langzhong, Sichuan, was getting investigated for serious discipline violation.
Tao Wei, 47, was born in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. After graduating from agriculture school in 1984, Tao Wei worked in Pengan County for a while and started to serve as Director of Pengan Investment Recruiment Bureau in March, 2003. In March, 2009, he was appointed as the Vice Governor of Pengan. In November, 2011, he assumed the office of Party Committee Secretary of the Langzhong Industrial Park and elected as a standing member of the CPC Committee of Langzhong, Sichuan.
For several times Tao Weis political career crossed paths with former Party Committee Secretary of Pengan County Yuan Ling who was already taken away by Sichuan Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission for questioning and investigation in September 18, 2013.
According to the notice circulated by Sichuan Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission on September 27, 2013, Yuan Ling interfered in developing projects and programs several times and asked for great wealth in return for his violation of laws and disciplines.
Yuan Ling was said to be very close to Li Chongxi, former chairman of Sichuan Provinvicial Peoples Political Consultative Conference. On December 29, 2013, Chinas Central Disciplinary Committee and Ministry of Supervision announced on its website that Li Chongxi was under investigation for suspected serious violation of discipline. On January 16, Li Chongxi was officially removed from the post as the leader of lesser congress in Sichuan and deprived of his membership.
