罗拉是当今最成功的爵士演唱家之一，因其低沉如丝质般细致的磁性音质被媒体称其为“丝绒歌喉”。在荷兰，国民为了表达对她的喜爱，还将一个郁金香品种以她的名字命名；近年来，这位爵士名伶也在亚洲唱开了她事业的第二春，从十年前来华开个唱到与中国的唱片公司签约发专辑、携手本土的爵士乐队合作爵士音乐会，她让更多喜爱音乐的人领略了爵士乐的风情。
