Ganzhou Plans to Build China’s Southern Rare Earth Group

According to this year’s Ganzhou government work report for this year, last year Ganzhou’s strategic emerging industries including rare earth and tungsten sectors were expected to fulfill main business income of 68 billion yuan, up by 20%. This year, Ganzhou highlighted the construction of national precious metal industry base, and advanced manufacture industry base,amended industrial development planning. It carried out rare earth special rectification,cracked down on illegal mining behaviors,pushed forward integration of the rare earth industry, with Ganzhou Rare Earth Group Corporation as the main body, it aimed to build China’s southern rare earth large corporation group, promote the construction of precious metal futures transaction center, build Ganzhou rare earth and tungsten trading centers and distribution center, and speed up the construction of rare earth industrial base, southern ion type rare earth strategic resource reserve center.
