Recently, the one-million-ton aluminum alloy industrial chain project of Gansu Hongtai Aluminum Co., Ltd. with a total investment of RMB 29 billion kicked off at Liuchuan Industrial Park of the high-tech zone of Baiyin city. The implementation of this project will surely give full play to the comprehensive energy advantages of Baiyin and accelerate the integrated coal-power-metallurgy-processing construction, and it will lay a firm foundation for Baiyin to forge an industrial chain of nonferrous metals (rare earth) and deep processing amounting to RMB 100 billion.

In order to implement the regional development strategy, receive industrial transfer from central and eastern China, speed up development of circular economy and support the complementary and extended chains of the nonferrous metals (rare earth ) and deep processing industrial chain, with the great support from the provincial government and after extensive exploration and demonstration, Baiyin city and Dezheng Resources Holding Co., Ltd. decided to set up Gansu Hongtai Aluminum Co., Ltd., and plan to build an one-million-ton aluminum alloy industrial chain project by attracting investment and relying on the abundant coal and electric power resources.

Based on the principle of ”overall planning and step-by-step implementation”, Baiyin plans to build an 1,000,000-ton Aluminumproject and its supporting 500,000-ton carbon project, as well as 400,000-ton aluminum-based alloy ingot project, 100,000-ton high-purity aluminum project, self-provided power plant with 2,000,000 kilowatts of installed capacity and 15-million-ton coal mine. After being completed and put into operation, the project can realize the annual gross industrial output value of RMB 30 billion and the pre-tax profit of RMB 2 billion and create 6,000 jobs. Gansu Hongtai Aluminum Co., Ltd. will strive to build a new-type industrialized group integrating aluminum alloy processing, coal & power development, carbon production and modern logistics.
