U.S. Foreign Policy and Sino-U.S. Relations During Obama’s Second Term

On November 9, 2012, Center for China-U.S. Relations of China Institute of International Studies and the Editorial Department of China International Studies co-hosted the Symposium on U.S. Foreign Policy and Sino-U.S.Relations During Obama’s Second Term in Beijing.Experts and scholars from the People’s Liberation Army Academy of Military Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Peking University,Renmin University of China, the PLA National Defense University, Fudan University, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, the Center for World Affairs Studies of Xinhua News Agency and other related agencies participated in the symposium and explored America’s domestic and diplomatic situation after the presidential election, tendency of U.S. diplomatic policies in the next four years, and provided their perspectives on the development of China-U.S. relations. We present here the highlights of the symposium.
