Chalco’s 150,000-ton Aluminum Plate and Strip Project to Be Put into Production In the Second Half of This Year

According to Guiyang Municipal Government Office, with an investment of 712 million yuan,Chalco’s aluminum plate and strip project with an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons will be completed and put into production in the second half of this year.
It is learned that the project was started in Baiyun Aluminum Processing Base in Guiyang on December 31, 2010. Producing aluminum plates and strips, mainly aluminum foil blanks,the project is expected to yield in an annual output value of 3 billion yuan.
Chalco Guizhou Branch is a joint venture set up by Guiyang Industry Investment Group Co.,Ltd., Aluminum Corporation of China, and Shanghai Enyuan Industrial Co., Ltd., with each holding a 47.5%, 40% and 12.5% stake respectively. It is a major project launched by Chalco Guizhou Branch based on market analysis and Guizhou’s overall planning on aluminum processing, in light of Chalco’s Guizhou-based enterprises’ supply and coordination capabilities and Shanghai Enyuan Industrial Co., Ltd.’s demand for products.
In May this year, with an investment of 2.4 billion yuan, Chalco Guizhou Branch‘s 800,000-ton alumina project was put into production.
