Jieshou to Build A Megaton Secondary Metals Market

Recently, Jieshou Xicheng Recycling Economic Zone has started to prepare to establish the “East China Metals Distribution & Trading Market” by means of attracting investment.Now, the project’s relevant planning has been completed and the land leveling stage has started. After the completion of the project, a secondary metals market with annual trading volume of over one million tons will emerge in Jieshou.

It is reported that the East China Secondary Metals Distribution & Trading Market will cover an area of 920 mu, and 20,000 square meters of shop-fronts with 7,000 booths are expected to be completed by the end of 2011,mainly engaging in business of waste aluminum, copper, iron and waste accumulator, etc.In order to attract more commercial tenants, the market has formulated a package of preferential measures for tenants. Especially, the market will exempt tenants from rent in the first year and halve the rent in the second year.

Closely relying on the park area, the project is expected to purchase 500,000 tons of secondary lead, 400,000 tons of secondary aluminum, 200,000 tons of secondary copper and 300,000 tons of secondary steel & iron annually. Its annual trading volume of secondary metals is expected to exceed 1 million tons,which is mainly used to meet the demands for secondary metals in East China and Central China.
