让重庆走向国际中国西南美国商会重庆委员会成立

3月19日,中国西南美国商会举行重庆委员会成立庆典,世界500强企业的高管齐聚一堂,美国驻成都总领事馆商务领事马仕戈、重庆市对外经济贸易委员会副主任张西建、重庆市贸促委主席邹小平以及其他国家驻渝领事馆的官员等出席了本次盛典。
自2009年中国西南美国商会重庆办事处成立后,商会更加积极的支持重庆地区中美商务关系发展,更好的服务于在渝美商会会员单位及个人。中国西南美国商会成了中美商务关系最坚实的桥梁。
近几年重庆经济飞速发展,重庆理事委员会的成立是中国西南美国商会的发展阶段中的重要里程碑,理事成员都是民主选举自世界500强的企业老总,他们的智慧与努力会让中国西南美国商会在重庆经济发展的轨迹上留下深深的印迹。目前,美商会的总部设在成都,商会会员已达到160余家,均来自世界500强的外资企业以及优秀的中国企业。
在成立仪式上,美国驻成都总领事馆商务领事马仕戈告诉记者,美国商会重庆委员会的成立是重庆走向国际的标志,商会也是商界与当地政府沟通的重要渠道。重庆在工业方面有着相当的优势,因此对于美国相关领域的公司具有很强的吸引力。其次,重庆拥有长江这个很好的航道资源,种种优势综合,让美国企业对投资重庆充满了浓厚的兴趣。他相信,中国西南美国商会将迅速成长为重庆地区最活跃、规模最大的外国商会。
“我希望把我们在成都所作的一切沿用到重庆,举办更多的活动,提供交流平台,传达政府与企业之间最真实的声音。我们很看好重庆这个大市场,希望能带来更多的美资企业落户重庆。”

中国西南美国商会会长王晓东在接受本刊记者专访时也表示,中国西部经济现正处于高速发展时期,重庆是长江中上游地区的中心城市,对西部地区的发展具有重要意义。重庆委员会的成立也是顺应西南地区的经济发展趋势。王晓东很激动的告诉记者,据他所知,目前在重庆的美资企业已达到200多家,重庆地区的商会会员也在迅速增加,这是一件好事情。
商会的桥梁作用就是要体现在利于招商引资。目前美国西南商会在成都做得很好,商会会经常和政府,以及各个商会进行沟通,为会员出谋划策,站在外商的角度为政府提供最切实的意见。
中国西南美国商会是一个非盈利性组织,是中国西南地区最大和最具影响力的外国商会。商会的使命是在美国和中国政府之间起到桥梁作用,同美国驻成都总领事馆紧密合作,促进中美经济贸易的交流和发展,为商会会员及美资企业提供服务。通过举办各种形式的商务活动促进会员公司的商务发展。通过美商会的平台让中国政府与商会会员之间以及中国政府与美国政府之间,会员与会员之间良好的沟通,促进商务交流,提高四川、重庆的外资投资环境。
2010年,美商会将更多致力于与美中政府更紧密的合作,为在中国西南地区促进有建设性的和更有活力的商务环境而努力,为会员提供更多的福利,例如签证预约服务、会员优惠卡、关系网络拓展、市场开发以及政府关系等。
O n March 19, the American Chamber Commerce in Southwest China Chongqing O rganizing Comm ittee kicked off, executives from Fortune 500 com panies gathered together, the Commercial Consul of U.S. Consulate General in Chengdu William Marshak, deputy director of Chongqing Foreign Trade and Econom ic Comm ittee Zhang Xijian, Chairm an of Chongqing trade promotion comm ittee Zou Xiaoping and other Consulate officials from different countries attended the ceremony.
In recent years, the economy of Chongqing is developing rapid ly; the establishment of Chongqing O rganizing Comm ittee is an im portant m ilestone in the development of the American Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China. Currently, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is headquartered in Chengdu, the members of Chamber of Commerce has reached more than 160 which are all foreign-funded enterprises from the Fortune 500 as well as outstanding Chinese enterprises.
At the launch ceremony, William Marshak told us that the establishment of Chongqing O rganizing Comm ittee is a symbol for Chongqing going out into international. Cham ber of Commerce is also an im portant channel of communication between the business comm unity and local government. Chongqing has a considerable advantage in industry, which w ill attract many American companies in related fields. Second, Chongqing has a very good channel resource-Yangtze River, for the various advantages of integrated; American enterprises are full of interest in investing in Chongqing. He believes that the American Chamber of Commerce w ill grow rapidly as the Chongqing's most active and largest foreign chambers of commerce.
Wang Xiaodong, the President of American Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China also said, Chongqing is the center city in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, which has great significance of the development in the western region. As he knows, at present the US-funded enterprises in Chongqing has reached more than 200, the members of Chamber of Commerce in Chongqing is grow ing rapidly, and this is a good thing. The effects of Chamber of Commerce are like a bridge to aid investment promotion. “I hope that we can follow what we do in Chengdu to Chongqing to organize more activities, provide exchange p latform between the government and enterprises to convey the most authentic voice. We are very optim istic about the big market of Chongqing, hoping to bring more US-funded enterprises settled in Chongqing.”
In 2010, the American Chamber of Commerce w ill be more comm itted to closer co-operation w ith the United States government, make efforts in promoting a constructive and more dynam ic business environment in Southwest China. Provide more benefits for members such as visa appointment service, membership benefits cards, network expansion, market development and government relations.
