Tempeh

Recently, soybean products have become more popular in developed countries as people realize that excessive intake of food from animals may lead to diseases. Tempeh, a fermented food made from soybeans is a substitute for meat. It has become a favorite health food for many people because of its high nutrition value.

In modern times, Tempeh is produced in a controlled short fermentation process. Fresh tempeh is a cake-shaped product coated with mold. It is white, glossy and elastic, and has a unique aroma.

Some experts believe that eating vegetarian foods for a long time may lead to malnutrition, especially vitamin B12 defciencies because it primarily comes from animal food sources; plant foods contain little B12. The World Health Organization recommends a daily intake of 1 mg of vitamin B12. Compared with unfermented soybeans, fermented soybeans are richer in vitamin B, especially in B12. A daily intake of 50 grams of Tempeh can provide enough vitamin B12 for a vegetarian.

Tempeh kinase, found in Tempeh mode, is able to remove hard plaque from the walls of blood vessels, clear blood clots, and obviously improve the condition of arteriosclerosis. It can also dissolve the cholesterol and triglyceride in blood, lowering blood pressure and the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
