Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing

From May 11-20, 2010, Golden Palace Restaurant of Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing will serve customers with dishes of deep-sea codfsh cooked in traditional ways. The restaurant will also offer some dishes on special offer, so that the customers can enjoy high-quality tastes at low prices.

Softel Wanda Beijing is pleased to announce Christian Werdenberg as the new executive chef of the hotel.

Christian Werdenberg, a native of Switzerland, has 26 years of experience in the “art of cuisine.”He started his culinary career as a cooking apprentice at Hotel Schweizerhof in Switzerland in 1984. Werdenberg has had an extensive experience as executive chef since 1998. He has worked for several fvestar hotels across the world such as Hilton hotels in Abu Dhabi, Tokyo and Zürich, as well as Softel Philippines Plaza (Manila, Philippines). In 2009, he joined Singapore Island Country Club, the most prestigious golf and country club in Singapore and the region. With his leadership and cooking skills, Werdenberg will allow Softel Wanda Beijing to go on bringing refned, innovative and memorable culinary experiences to all guests.

Representing the St. Regis Beijing, Deputy General Manager Chen Li recently received an award recognizing the hotel as one of China’s foremost luxury establishments in the 2010 Best of the Best edition from the publisher of Gafencu Men magazine. This is the fourth year of the annual award, and 250 distinguished guests from luxury brands of 12 categories including wheels, jewelry, fashion and hotels attended the award ceremony. Marco Polo Parkside, Beijing

Marco Polo Parkside, Beijing recently celebrated the opening of the Singapore and Malaysia Food Festival at Café Marco.

Hotel General Manager Stanley Lau announced the opening of the festival and cut the special Malaysian garland at the ceremony with Malaysian Minister Counselor Mohamed Khalit Said. The minister then had dinner at Café Marco, which was complimented by folk dancing performances throughout the evening.
